Biggest disappointment with the Plaid for sure. Hopefully they will up the power with a software update so it can properly run up to 180+ mph briskly. It does need more power due to the power curve falling there, and it will probably fall flat like any single speed electric car. Almost can't race a 1000HP car with only a useable 165 mph top speed.

From a dig, drag strip mode is better, especially at lower state of charge. From a roll, it appears to be slower. Did he show his state of charge for that race? If he was low, like in the 40’s or 50’s that would slow it down too. Btw we raced our friends plaid and crushed stock 720s by a lot... like 9.4 vs 10... on 1/4

Because they were going from a dig, and low rolls. This is like a 60-70 roll, which gives the McLaren the advantage. Plus it’s on race gas, so probably another 100+ horsepower out of the Mclaren compared to stock. If they did a dig, the plaid would smoke it, and if they did a lower roll, the plaid would probably jump out quite a bit and the McLaren would be playing catch-up

As a tesla owner, the 720s is just a faster car. Drag times has a video of them on the dragstrip and it even beats the plaid from a dig. its about .01 seconds faster in the quarter mile. Sorry tesla fans. Now is .01 worth 3x what you can get a plaid for and we all know you absolutely cant reliably daily a 720s, but its your money. do what you want. The 720 is a cool machine though.

I looked up some dyno numbers on tune with ms109. Tuned 720s makes similar power to 765LT when both are on ms109. The torque is where there is a difference. I'm not sure of the temps here. If they are cool it favors the 720S.

Was that a tease?? You need to at least give us 2 maybe 3 races. In all seriousness you should develop a system like carwow, 2 or 3 rolling races and at least one race from a dig on every video. Skip the brake test.

This ain't carwow, its street racing. Not always possible to do more runs, you know, police, traffic and stufg.

Exactly. Many variables that come into play. We don't have a closed runway. If you watch many of my videos I usually do atleast 2 runs. Sometimes 1 run is all I can get.

@Auto Glory I know it's not carwow. The races don't have to be back to back, take a break then continue. Maybe find a better place or time to race. Point is try to incorporate multiple races if possible and follow that pattern.
