I've test drive this and I would say that it's enough for it to not have 4WD if you're going to be within city limit or even beyond that, still going to another city. This top spec is still pretty awesome.
@nelayanbimbang99887 жыл бұрын
@mohammadchik7 жыл бұрын
Bobby, Agreed with you on the 7 seater seat. Some people need SUV with 7 seater. We cannot say , if we want 7 seater, you go to MPV. Actually I already have MPV with 7 seat but i am also need SUV with 7 seater. And also quite regret that it doesn’t come with 4WD on the range topping specs.
@boy6387 жыл бұрын
If Honda brought in the 7-seater option, they will literally be the market leader instantly and X-Trail sales will grind to a halt or given super huge discount to sell. Sure, people say how often do people even use the 3rd row? And to that I will say when was the last time you actually filled up the trunk of the car fully? Even if you rarely use the 3rd row, the very day you had to pick up a couple of extra people, you would be glad it has rear seats. Tiny seats sure but seats nonetheless. Maybe Honda only surveyed how often people use the 3rd row seats, but did not also survey how often people even make full use of the trunk space lol

Hello, I am from India Last year I was expecting Honda CRV will introduce 7 seaters in the Petrol version but they introduced with Diesel version only. To me, 7 seater is very useful for a long tour up to 6/7 hrs journey or more. and a long journey can be shared by two to three driving person. or otherwise you need to have two cars. and it is difficult for one driver for a long time driving. And recently I have faced the situation. Tiny seats can be interchanged and the tour will be enjoyable too. I don't prefer a Diesel version.

Hi Bobby.. Big Fan of your in-depth uncensored car reviews.. I have a question, does the 4WD and 2WD has any difference in daily driving..? Do u think the 2WD CRV is comfortable and powerful enough to drive.. And comparing to a AWD driving system as well.. U have owned a Subaru before right..
@stevenlee4547 жыл бұрын
Hi Bobby, I just came back from the showroom. Nice car overall. However, I noticed the the panel gaps between the tailgate and the body is HUGE. The vertical line splitting the tailgate and the body. Is this intentional or just bad build quality?
@paulfun87206 жыл бұрын
I guess they figure you don't need AWD because its a tropical paradise. In Canada the whole line is AWD and the top of the line Touring has way more. They did not even put roof rails on that version. You guys get the lane watch system compared to our BSM and you get what looks like a slightly different and nicer interior. Like your stuff and watch out for the micro slip steering.

hey, Bobby, CRV or VW Tiguan? Which do you think is better in term of overall driving experience and the quality of the car?
@BobbyAngmalaysia7 жыл бұрын
Handling i doubt many SUVs in this segment can beat the Tiguan. Quality wise, overall use of materials the Tiguan is above that of the CRV as well, but only a very small margin. But in terms of outright usability, practicality, cleverness of the cabin and interior room, the CRV is tops. Not that the Tiguan is in anyway bad - it's very good - but like any Hondas, they're very clever with their interiors, and it's their direction to outsized everybody else in their segment when it comes to interior room.

Bobby Ang which one would u choose? since the price of top specs CRV is almost same as Tiguan highline ....
@chrishengyw7 жыл бұрын
Excuse me for kepoing. i was also considering tiguan highline and crv 1.5 tcp. really liked vw handling and design. however in the end i placed booking on crv. CRV having the semi autonomous driving + reasonable RV in 5 years are my main reasons to choose CRV.

Wish they could give the sensing suite as an option for the AWD model. Now, the buyer has to choose between either the active driving aids or excellent grip in all weather conditions and not have both in one package. Of course it may cost almost RM190k, but im sure there will be some who would like both and are willing to pay for it.

Maybe because the AWD is designed to be able to travel off the road, which will have many conditions that current sensing not able to handle safely. From description, the sensing is for proper paved road. Not sure how it will react when it sense grasses, sands, trees, small rivers, small animals, ... but no proper paved road in front.

I'm not sure why car buyers want this 7 seater option so badly. A friend of mine own an X Trail and the third row seats back there are absolutely useless! Only small kids can manage to sit back there, and that too only for a short journey. Normally in these mid size SUVs, there are no AC vents at the third row and its very, very claustrophobic....kids won't enjoy it at all!! Only large SUVs (like Kia Sorento) or MPVs make any sense as 7 seaters
@idawan097 жыл бұрын
Kevin Prince yes agreed, it 7 seater go for full mpv like vellfire or estima
@maaxcel12367 жыл бұрын
Kevin Prince Bro, check out the Thailand and Indonesia spec, there is the 3rd row Aircond vents on the roof, and from the photos, they seem to be slightly more spacious than the Xtrail's as well. The Estima and Vellfire from the same price range are records while brand new Previa and Vellfire are just way too expensive.
@immortalbandit25586 жыл бұрын
Actually it is a game changer to have the 3rd row to be honest..when u have 3 kids at least, then u appreciate to have that cramps extra row behind like alza for instance..where the bigger sibling will have his own space to lie around, children always loves to have their own coccoon cozy space where they can move around..while the 2nd row will be exclusively for momma and baby in long journey, easy to feed all ur kids..1st row will be for the oldest one or in a short trip, u may have ur wife to be by ur side as a company..my conclusion is, 3rd row seat is crucial as a family mover if the father do not like to drive a boxy van and prefer midsize suv like this crv..plus malaysia will never have the large honda pilot as alternative..brv is too small and underpowered~
@mathsunmasked566 жыл бұрын
@@maaxcel1236 Next month, Thailand will introduce the 5 seat model with the 2.4 version. This is because many customers did not need the two seats at the back because they are very small and only good for little kids. The seats also rob a lot of space.

just my 2 cent , for this type of mid size suv, its pointless to have 7 seater, my uncle own a 7 seater xtrail and we found that the 2 seat behind almost useless and so uncomfortable. if you really need 7 seater and can afford this kind of pricing, just go for recond estima and problem solve.
@BobbyAngmalaysia7 жыл бұрын
That is exactly Honda's consensus. To have crappy 3rd row, might as well create a fantastic product that no one can argue. But the argument is this, what if the 3rd is memang 5+2 from the beginning? It's not meant to be a 7 seater, but as an extra seat?
@maaxcel12367 жыл бұрын
IMHO, the extra seats may not seem to be important, but to me, I'd be happy to have them when not needing them, than not having them when I need them. I don't mind about the slight sacrifice on boot space and smaller-sized spare wheel.
