I had a ABPM as a patient. My doctor is unusual in having the device available for her patients. I unexpectedly had to do some very heavy physical work which made wearing the monitor impractical, so I set an alarm to tell me 5 minutes before it was due to take a measurement, took it off, and refitted it for the readings. This worked fine and it took valid measurements. The report was not compromised. I am on medication for high BP based on office readings and on home BP measurements. Now I am wondering if my medication is appropriate. I will raise this next time I see my cardiologist
