These things are literally the collectible version of Schrodinger's Cat. The case could hold ~untold riches~, but the box is only worth $1250 when it's sealed. By opening the box, you instantly devalue it - and in doing so, thanks to the limited series of each card, you devalue that card for every other person who owns it, because it's no longer in the box, which means that it's currently 'unowned' and all the more rare than its minting/edition suggests. Stop buying dead cats, unless you have a thing for collecting dead cats.

These seem like garbage. Just several minutes of looking at the authenticity of these items shows countless red flags with this company. Mismatching autographs on football, baseball and basketball cards. They invite players to an event and get them to wear a jersey for a few minutes to then cut it up and say it's event worn. The gems aren't real, I could go on... All in all, I'd say with the poor reputation of this company these items won't be worth much because they're probably fake and usually any time collectibles are sold as collectibles they're worthless. I also read from several sources that employees were seen dirtying up uniforms to "age them". Sounds like a sham to me. I don't believe that they took a bat that used to belong to Ty Cobb and sawed off the knob to make one card, or take one of Babe Ruth's bats to make a bat barrel card. These collectors are eating this shit up though, that's for sure.

It was much more fun saving your allowance as a kid and riding your bike to the store. You could watch the storekeeper open a fresh box of cards as you dive in to grab a few packs with your $2 allowance. Then you and your friends could get together and trade as you marked off your checklists hoping you got a few more cards to complete your set. It used to be fun then. Now this so-called hobby has become a travesty, only meant for the elite and others who can afford it. I used to open pack after pack looking for a Johnny Bench card because he was my favorite player. Now we have to spend hundreds on cleats, autographs, and bat chips because we know there’s some sucker on eBay that will surely buy it for more than we spent on it. I can’t imagine spending the kind of cash necessary to be a collector now. In my days we had gum with the cards. Now we pull cards from James Bond spy briefcases just hoping to get a dollop of George Brett’s used hemorrhoid cream smeared onto a piece of cardboard. No thanks.
