He is trying to say the music is really annoying, especially when it's in a video like this, where the beautiful sound of the boxer 6-cilinder is in the center of attention. The video would be a lot more 'pure' without the music :)

got it. man, i can't believe i made that mistake. i always wondered why people would overlay music in their videos.. and then when it comes to editing my own.. i succumbed to the temptation. i'm going to see if i have the original footage and do a pure-sound version. thanks for the feedback.

i genuinely dream every day of owning a manual gt3 touring. i did not know of the flatshift gimmick. the PDK pop when flat upshifting the manual make it even more appealing. what a car! Nice color

Allzeit gute Fahrt!

What are flat upshifts
@alexioflexio88185 жыл бұрын
The manual in the 991.2 gt3 has a functionality where it cuts ignition during upshifts, so you can keep the accelerator fully pressed, dip the clutch and shift gears, without any clutch slipping or revs flaring. This allows you to make very fast manual upshifts.. it also makes a very cool "pop" noise, very similar to the PDK in sport mode. it also of course matches revs on downshifts in sport mode. This feature is described in the owner's manual as well.

Oh one more question if you don’t mind. You mentioned you turned traction control off ,but kept ESC on. How do you do that. It is the other way around, you could turn ESC off and keep traction control on, or you have the option to turn both off. Was that a typo? Please let me know as I always was curious how to turn traction off and keep ESC on, but it does not seem possible on the GT3. Mark

Great video. Well done. Look forward to see more. I too have been enjoying my new manual GT3, and have fallen in love with the no-lift shifting and also the launch control feature... have you had a chance to try launch control? If not give it a try. One question... are you driving on the cup 2 tires in the rain and how do they perform in the wet. I have installed Michelin sport 4S before taking delivery of the car, as I took delivery in January and it is very wet here in the Northwest area in the US and just put back the cup 2 tires 2 weeks ago, so I did not have a chance to experience them in the wet and was curious of your impressions of them in the wet. Again great video and look forward to your experience of the cup2 tires in the wet. Mark

Mark Qandil hi, I have the delivery Dunlop’s on.. can’t remember what they are.. but yes In the rain they were “fun”.. definitely lost some front-end grip at times.. lost the rear a lot in the wet

Question here Mark - I have a 2018 GT3 991.2 with a manual gearbox also. How do you get / perform a launch control without a PDK transmission? Thanks
@mqandil3 жыл бұрын
@@bentleygucci hi. Absolutely, Yes you can perform launch control with the manual transmission. You would place it in first gear while pressing on clutch then you floor the gas peddle and at which point the car rpm will settle around 6500 rpm, then you sidestep the clutch and the car will launch like a rocket. Really fun and easy. You could do that with traction control on or off. The car would manage traction which yields perfect launch every time including on wet surface. Only challenge is redline for 1st gear comes so so quickly, so be ready to power shift to 2nd gear while keeping you foot on gas pedal planted to the floor around 8900 rpm. It feels like a PDK shift but much more satisfying.

"sometimes felt like I needed more brakes" .. Why??
@alexioflexio88186 жыл бұрын
YurixRuz because I was going too fast... that’s my honest answer. But answered another way, in the wet with repeated braking, there were a few pucker moments where I was wishing for more immediate response. could also have been the attitude of the car going downhill, the rear felt a little light as it pitched forward before each hairpin.

Funny you are bashing the Corvette and 964 Turbo drivers. However, these cars are much more snappy in wet conditions. They are driving sensible, and adjust to the weather conditions. Not like grannies. Don’t forget the age difference, and their lack of Nannie technology, unlike your car…
