@J G Aussie Rules is actually the number 1 sport in ALL states now. Even in Qld, The Lions get bigger crowds than The Broncos. Soccer has been here for a long time already and hasn't looked like gaining the same popularity. Most Aussies just like our own codes and find soccer quite boring in comparison. Anyway if I'm still here in 2050 I'll be an old man and probably care even less what soccer is doing.
