Conceptually I understand that Big Sexy already knows who the winner of this round is when they record this commentary. Having watched this round live, its incredible to me that they are able to suspend their spoilerific knowledge of the eventual victor as well as they do... good work on the commentary you guys.

Great coverage thank you ! Too many OB' s for the players but it does make it exciting to watch !
@thebigwigcosine6 жыл бұрын
Always love the commentary, my one recommendation would be more mention of distances. As a fellow player, a part of what makes watching these rounds interesting is comparing my skills to the top pros. Watching them play courses I'm familiar with and have played myself it's easy to do, but relying only footage can be difficult to comprehend. Drive distances, distances to clear OB/obstacles/ and distances for approach shots would all enhance the experience. As we continue to grow the sport, making it more enjoyable to watch for those vaguely or completely unfamiliar to the sport is essential, and helping them gain perspective would be helped as well. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing. The analysis is always spot on, clear and easily relatable. The color commentary is professional yet perfectly reflects the relaxed, fun first vibe that makes our sport so unique and approachable. Keep up the good work!

Not sure how hard it would be to have a hole by hole scoring to see what players like McBeth did on those holes as well, but that would be amazing.

Thrownan the Barsbarian crushes his discs, sees them driven before him and hears the salutations of the women. I've noticed that they haven't changed the pictures on the PDGA home page. Definitely go with one of the hair unfurled headband shots. Those are the best ones.

The argument could be made that courses like these bring "luck" into the equation. That being said, the format of Worlds with the extra rounds probably goes a long way to mitigate the effects of luck... long story short, I agree! Gotta love woods golf... pros playing actual golf...

Eh not really true is it? World's in portland had courses that are completely wooded, same with pittsburgh, and those were both won by Rick/Paul.

So u know how they have jump-putts & they have those little step putts... I have a question. Let's say I am 25-28 feet away, it's a little uphill. Since there are jump putts, no foot penalty unless your foot hits the ground b4 release, it's cool. So my 25-28ft putt is not comfortable, can I literally run up to the disc & jump, but Im jumping as tho it's the long jump in the Olympics. So can I do that + throw the disc B4 my FEET hit the ground?? It would b a difficult throw when Im in mid-air. I'm jus wonderin if that is legal/possible/not a foot fault. Could be frowned upon, but I'm just curious . Thank you!

This is not really a final 9, this is the back 9 of a final 18. A true final 9 has the 4 players with the top scores re-adjusted at the beginning of the 9 holes, at that point. Should be Barsby, McBeth, Anthon, and I don't know
@hudson55646 жыл бұрын

30:29 has anyone ever questioned Ulibarri's jump putt in a tournament before. It's almost always illegal if the grass touching lead foot counts, otherwise it's still EXTREMELY close every time.
@spencer25196 жыл бұрын
SpiderWaffle IIRC there was a big deal made about it back at a previous Utah open but I can’t remember which year. This was back when his putt had way more anny to it too. I think Dave Feldberg was called in the same tournament for it too.

I think 7 could have gotten harder after the cut because there are less people who are playing aggressively since people tend to be more conservative in later rounds. so then there are less birdies.

Drew is kind of a protege of Anthon's - has a bunch of old Innova plastic from Josh. I just thought it was funny how he kinda crept around the lead card while they were putting then ganked the water. LOL I'm sure he was carrying Josh's bag for the final round, but it still looked funny as shit!
