Javi is such a man. Hard to imagine Yuzuru and Javi not together anymore as they are both probably retiring together.

MsDekisugi he said in the same interview that he was on pain killers and prob won’t compete at worlds. And his coach has said he worries about further damage to Yuzuru’s foot from a quad axel. Also he will be 27 by the next Olympics. We don’t want a Patrick Chan finish for the great Hanyu.

Kreatures100 It doesn't necessarily mean he has to continue till the next Olympic tho. He may take some time to rest and heal properly, withdraw from World if needed... then comeback later. He can challenge the 4A anytime, as long as it's in competition to be counted. He said it's also his childhood dream to do so.

Kreatures100 Also because he was badly injured this season, he missed out almost every competition and had to take 2 quad out of LP (but still win!) It'd be a pity for him to stop here. I hope he can recover and go on a little more with new programs, EX, quad lutz, 4A... everything. I'm getting excited just thinking about those!

I don’t think it’s worth his effort and injury to do a quad axel. Doing the quad lutz is how he hurt himself. And on top of this the quad axel isn’t yet scored. It would be like Mao Asada doing two clean triple axels and receiving less points per jump that a simpler triple triple combo.
