I was originally set on this model GeoPro so I went to the dealer earlier this week completely set on buying it. When I toured this camper however, I found that I’d have to be about 4 inches shorter ( I’m 6’2”) in order to sleep in it. If you’re 6 feet tall or taller than this model is NOT for you. I ended up purchasing a Jayco. I will say though, that I found the quality of the GeoPros is very good and they seem sturdy and well built.

From my experience having the furnace outlet low in the back directly under the bed creates a concentration of hot air directly beneath the bed which turns into a griddle before the ambient temperature in the cabin warms up very much. Also, the 90 degree straight back seating provides no upper back support which will make for very uncomfortable days spent inside due to weather issues. Lots of big trailer features are nice but they drive the price up and kinda defeat one of the major appeals of a small simple camper. Also one important specification usually omitted is the load capacity of the axle. If the unit weighs 1900 plus pounds, it wouldn't surprise me if it was equipped with a 2000 lb rated axle.

Great points. Most people do not look that deep and end up miserable.
@marlenemeinhard89566 жыл бұрын
I noticed that heater under bed like that. With the leather or fake leather it holds the heat and its almost impossible to stand. My sister had a camper like that. They ended up not using furnace and brought a little heater that warmed up but not to hot. That should be moved for the money these are. Otherwise its really nice.
@sammolloy81295 жыл бұрын
Leave the bed down and make a bolster by rolling some 4”foam and taping it. Have a simple sock sewn with draw strings on both ends. Eat on a TV tray kept under the bed. A small 12v fan on the floor could circulate the heat better.

James Simpson Yeah... I wish we had that Marco Polo camping van in the US.
@jamessimpson26746 жыл бұрын
They are a nice motorhome as well.... Around $70,000 AUD ($54,000 USD approx.) for a entry level one though..... At least its a Mercedes!!!! As for the trailer (caravan) nearly all of the vans in Australia are expensive and have all the bells and whistles. There are a few "basic" ones around, mostly import ones for the UK or South Africa. I have built 2 of my own for a fraction of the cost of a new one and get comments and offers to buy them where ever we go in them.

I would like to know what's the low end price & high end price $$. You need someone to hold your camera so you can start opening those compartments outside & in, what size is the tire, where is the spare tire located. Roll out the awning. Turn on the radio. The more the better, don't worry about having a long presentation, sell it....

I've priced out three trailers in Canada. Two are boler replacements, the armadillo, and the Trillium, and the third is the T@b trailer. The Trill at the option level I wanted was close to $30k, the armadillo, $40k, and the T@b...$60k. The Geo is an excellent trailer for two, or as a work and accomodation trailer for me whilst doing research in the wilderness...it's way cheaper than those other units, and has all of the creature comforts needed. The fact is, that the smaller you go, when trying to maintain quality, and still cram in the necessary options, the more expensive they get. I can buy a tent-trailer, hybrid, or solid wall trailer that sleeps 6-8 for what some of these small trailers cost...ever priced-out a truck camper? Super expensive, not to mention that you need a 3/4 or 0ne tonne to carry them = $$$!!!

This is cute but i think me and me clothes would put it over the weight limit! lol (oh and i dont have many clothes) :) just saw the bathroom , if you have short legs this wont work either that step in is above my knees i'd never make it. so this is not for the elderly, the clumsy or the short! ofc i wouldn't fit in there anyway, but i love the kitchenette and the bed though those are nice. i just wish we knew at least the msrp on the thing so we'd have a starting point, that should be the same company wide so your area prices would be protected until someone came to your location.

... can they make ones that are small enough to pull with a bicycle? I have an idea of how to make one where you can shower in it while sitting with a little drainage thingy below the feet.... which outside you could slide it out of the bicycle trailer and like dispose of it. Something like 3-4 liters. AND OF COURSE it has to have a kitchen sink .. a really small one.. and the smallest fridge. And likeeee standard sized solar panels that would make up for the whole roof.. like 2-3 of them. It should be enough to power 3 LED lights.. one for the shower.. 1 above the bed and 1 above the kitchen.. all this in 2100mm x 1250mm x 1250mm box..... which you can hook up on a bicycle.

To all of you COMPLAINERS stating "anything" is "too expensive", this means you aren't willing to pay said price - but others might/will. Have any of you even seen these RV's (in person?) No. Pricing of anything is no different than a house, car, phone, a watch, computer, washer/dryer, lawnmower, etc etc. There are "CHEAP" things (that are usually crappy,) and there are "NICE" things (that are usually made with better materials, better engineering, better features, the list goes on and on. Just because YOU don't like the price doesn't mean it is "overpriced." Go buy a used Geo Metro if that is your taste. There are plenty of people who want a Mercedes S600 AMG (and will pay good money for it.) Both do the exact same thing, but one is far crappier than the other. Thanks, and take your "complaints" regarding nothing more than your "perceived value" elsewhere. The manufacturer or parent company of any product like this will thank you for it.

@sammolloy81295 жыл бұрын
moquahd Any RV fridge like this will switch over automatically to propane when the power goes out. There is no compressor. It works by heat. It uses ammonia not freon. The freezer plate should be level. There are “3-way” that use 12V also but in my opinion the heater would use up a battery fast. A small 20 pound propane tank might last a week if that is all it runs.
