Test drove this VR6 SEL recently. Drives great, secure, and tight. If I lived in Colorado or anywhere with real weather I'd get one. Very nice.

Just bought one of these last week the SE with tech package and 4motion. While it doesn't have the most power in class and it's not the quickest to 60 it is smooth quiet stable and overall high-quality. Prior to this we had a Tiguan and I would say it feels just as nice as that if not better. Also we are seeing over 20 miles per gallon average which is decent for a vehicle this size. It's got plenty of power when you need it I've never felt like I needed more. Tons of space and easy ingress and egress.

Nathan Stice VW say it tows 5000lbs. What do you think?
@robertaBooey697 жыл бұрын
Umm any German car that's not mbz or BMW is owned by Vw( Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini). They are the ones who cheated the diesel emissions so it could pass USA standards. For that trying to cheat the system Vw( you should take those diesels off the road period because you lied about emissions) 50000 for a Vw is flat out stupid to by. It cost more to work on, parts are not readily available and because they are German it takes longer to work on! Oil change takes 10 bolts, then you can actually drain the oil. Then the say oil last 15000 miles is a joke! The oil from every German car is syn so it cost more per quart and takes an hour to drain and refill! Umm jiffy lube 30$ changed not possible with any German car. Stop bitching German car owners about a 120$ oil change. They offer free service because they can sell you things they don't need. I work on cars daily, my shop has over 80 years of experience. Vw bugs yes easy to work on but it was Adolfs car that was Built by Porsche 1930s. Vw flat out suck to work on and they have way to much plastic shit covering the actual engine

Robert A Booey thanks for explaining what the vw auto group is... as far as the emissions scandal, I really don't give two shitd because I'm not some fucking hippy. Working in construction I see more pollution I everyday then you would in a year. Half the trucks (and I mean tractor trailers not pickups) driving down the toad put out more than any vw, Porsche, or Audi would have in 10 years. As far as the oil change taking ten bolts and them being hard to work on, this is my 3rd vw, and not a problem yet other than maintenance. Parts aren't that expensive and the oil changes do last 10,000 miles. And I check my oil religiously. My Jetta 5 cyl I had for 150,000 and not one issue, never burned oil, and still had a brand new looking interior. Volkswagen makes a good product, sorry.

We dont currently have a tow package. During the launch for the first few months, they are putting the tow package on sel and sel premium. To tow 5000lbs you must get the dealer installed option (or from the factory like the higher trims currently come). If you for instance go to uhaul and get an aftermarket one installed you can only tow 2000lbs. I didnt buy this vehicle for towing as for which we have a heavy duty diesel pickup. But if its like any of the competitors it will most likely be comfortable towing anything under 3500 as the max of any vehicles towing capacity is usually something you would like to stay away from.

Have the new generation 2016/17 Honda Pilot... decked out with leather, sunroof etc. $40k. I have major buyers remorse. Have had two broken windshields (once at 1,700 miles and second at 5,600 miles). Dealership support and experience sucked! Won't buy a Honda product ever again. Should have waited for this one.
@areethhfd56917 жыл бұрын
My Honda dealer sucks also..service dept tries to sell all kinds of unnecessary crap. My advice to you is to do exactly what "maintenance minder" tells you to do and read the manual enough to understand how "maintenance minder" works and what the various alerts really mean. I like my Honda, and I like "maintenance minder" as a reminder/back up, but the next car I buy must have a black and white printed maintenance schedule. Also, don't let them charge you $45 to change the cabin air filter. I just did mine with no tools in 5 minutes, with an $8 filter from amazon after watching a quick vid on KZbin, its easier than changing the engine air filter.
@carzak7 жыл бұрын
So, you had something hit your windshield twice, and now you won't buy a Honda ever again? I love car buyer's logic sometimes. If the dealership was bad, go to another dealership. Better yet, stay away from them because they'll rip you off. All of them from every brand. That's how they stay in business. They make more money from maintenance and repair than sales. Should have gone to a local glass repair shop.

Blake Swan I think there are more of us Americans that drive manuals than there are those that take SUVs off road these days. I'm saving up money to get better tires to take my 97 Grand Cherokee to do some light off roading(2wd but has LSD and a big 5.2 V8). Fortunately, if I have to tow something, I have the factory towing package.

Brodie H I know. However you have the person who only has a dog so they bought this type of people. If you fill all the seats in your vehicle, God bless you. But if you are a family of three, you do not need an suv. Let alone a 3 row. That is all im saying.
