I own a 2015 MK7 GTI with 260k miles on it. Best car I have ever owned. I think the MK7.5 is the best GTI ever built...even better than the MK8.

my friend has a 2017 mk7 gti manual and it is so refined and insulated while being incredibly sporty. The shifter and clutch feel are incredibly smooth, easy to use, and responsive. the steering and grip is insane compared to anything else i have driven. I am in love with it and when I have to get a kid hauler, i know what im getting. volkswagen is capable of making such refined cars that are an all-around experience, its great

I had a 2015 MK7 GTI and it was the best car I ever owned. “Upgraded” and decided I missed it too much so got a 2020. It’s so much fun and so easy to live with.

Mk7.5 Golf is best golf. I wish they hadn't discontinued the 3door.

much of the US buying public either doesn't know how to drive a manual transmission or if they do only want a manual if its in a sports coupe/convertible body style such as a Chevrolet Corvette/Camaro Porsche 911 Nissan 370 Z etc. not in a standard commuter car format like the Golf/Toyota Camry/Chevrolet Malibu etc. if you're going by US sales in the midsize sedan segment Toyota Camry is #1 with sales of 265,244 Honda Accord #2 at 181,000 Chevrolet Malibu #3 133,000 Nissan Altima #4 at 110,000 and Kia K5 #5 59,906

There's a saying which states that if you own a VW a sunroof should be standard, it just adds flare to it to be honest 😅😌.

They leak though… it’s crazy. Because of that I wanted no roof, but I want to change my head lights to the red strip one

@@Marco-xz9sc I know about then leaking as time goes by and yes having it is like a hit or miss to be honest. That head light strip thing like definitely complete it

Focus ST > Golf GTI More reliable, more capability. only problem is everyone and their mom has an ST now…
@Kisame.Hoshigaki Жыл бұрын
More capability than the MQB platform? And more reliable than the EA888?
@NotSoAverageFusion Жыл бұрын
@@Kisame.Hoshigaki idk man, Golfs aren’t the greatest when tuned. They all got the diarrhea tunes too. Focus ST’s 2.0T is a SUPER solid motor. Not over-engineered, and built fairly locally to me in Lima, Ohio. Easily capable of 550whp on stock bottom end with E85 and larger injectors, big turbo, and full bolt ons for maybe a few grand? I’d say that’s a great platform for power and aftermarket support

@@NotSoAverageFusion I really don’t know where you’re getting information on golf’s but they are one the greatest tuner friendly cars out there and 550whp on stock bottom end with E85 and larger injectors, big turbo, and full bolt ons for maybe a few grand?? That’s Cap ain’t no way in hell.
@NotSoAverageFusion11 ай бұрын
@@Kisame.Hoshigaki Focus ST’s can withtake 400whp on stock injectors, larger injectors allow for 550whp safely on the stock block with E85. Plus they’re a little more spacious than Golfs are.

@@NotSoAverageFusionYou are on crack, in my car group I had 3 people with STs, all 3 blew up with different type of mods and hp, the most powerful one was struggling to push 360whp and it had a big turbo for 2 of them. They are fun to drive but they aren't reliable and cost way more to try to push over 400whp.
