A good, informative video. I can finally see the rpm-s and consumption at different speeds which I always wanted to know. I now have a VW Jetta 1.6 TDI but I drive too much in heavy city traffic which is not good for diesel engines. I am planning to buy a VW like this next year. The only thing I was missing was the consumption in slow city traffic :). The Jetta 1.6 TDI (2013 model) is not good at this, it can vary from 7-11 L/100km depending on how slow the traffic is and how long you have to stay in it.

Yes thats why i dont do city fuel consumption test, bcs every city is different, long road then redlight, or many redlight, some city has lots roundabouts, some city is very steep with lots hills,etc

How does the 1.4 Tsi 125hp 200nm compare to the 1.0 Tsi 116hp 200nm? I've heard a couple of times that they, except for refinement, feel very similar as far as power is concerned. Would you agree?

1.4 tsi has the same torque earlier and for longer - 1400 to 4000rpm where the 1.0 tsi is from 2000 to 3500rpm so that is a total difference of 1100rpm

Great car only thing that bugs me it the strange chattering noise from 1500 to 2500 rpm. Probably clutch related or an enginering fault, all the ea211 1.4 engines do it seems like this one is no different

After 5000km and 8 month old, my engine (1.4 TSI 122bhp ) started to give random shocks when running idle. Misfires. My belgian VW dealer/importer doesn't consider this to be a problem. Dr Google on the other hand says that you should eliminate these misfires because they can cause engine damage on the long run. So I ask the importer if they could confirm that the misfire they detected wouldt'n cause any damage on the long run. I got the following answer ( literal translation, I kid you not ) : "we see no harm in the phenomenon that you perceive". I find this a strange answer. Because they don't dare to use the words "no harm" and "misfires" in on sentence, I have to belief the opposite. Am I wrong to do so? Maybe the crowd can shed some light on this matter. Feel free to answer or launch a survey.

In The Facelift is no 1.4 tsi Engine only the New 1.5!tsi Engine!

Facelift is since 2017, and this engine was built until 03/2018, check it out in google or wikipedia engine list with detailed date etc..

TEST DRIVE FREAK the 1.5 was Built since 03/17 but the 1.4 with 125 hp was Used until 03/18 so i am wrong there Can be a 1.4 in Facelift

look at the video, or ask someone else to read numbers for you if you are unable. at 180km/h max consumption was 10 liters. the screen was showing instant consumption not average.

no, this one has nothing to do with the famous problematic. different turbo, engine block, timing belt not chain, injectors etc.

overpriced junk of small car with huge fuel consumption and relative weak engine !!! Mazda 6 /3 /cx 5 have lower consumption with stronger engines (2.o 165hp) !! 1.0 tsi just like 1,4/1,5 tsi are very bad engines for driving fast on autobahn because of enormous fuel consumption

I never saw a bigger number than 10 liters on my 110hp 1.2TSI but the average tend to be below 6,5 liters at 130kmh with AC on in summertime and seat heating on in wintertime. In the city I often go below 5 liters (my last full tank was nearly 1100 km, aka 4,9L avg) in a 5°C february time!

Mazda are shit cars lmfao they don’t past 130km/h if you go full throttle on 6th gear you don’t gain speed in mazda cx5 and downhill from a mazda cx5 i got max 148km/h thats all ;) vw wins tbh
