Took the plunge into VW ownership with the 2020 GLI. Lifetime Toyota owner so wanted to find out first hand if the quality and reliability issues are as rumored. Live the GTI and when driving back to back with the GLI, pretty darn close. GTI interior definitely nicer.

Another great POV review, Chad! I've always really digged the proportions of the Golf!! And, of course, I LOVE the GTI even more. Once you add on all the extra goodies that the GTI spec brings to the Golf, you have one sweet little hot hatch. 💯 Those rims are so sleek and that interior has aged rather nicely over the years. Also, based off of your commentary, it seems like a joy to drive. All in all, the GTI seems like a very well-rounded package (both new and on the used market). Keep it up, Chad! It was such a blast to drive! I was fortunate enough to record this one in your home state of Florida (Miami to be exact)! The weather, mixed with the drive of the car was a blend I won't soon forget!

Good pick / selection of car to review. Many VW enthusiasts pondering 2-3 year used market and I'm one of them. The price point value or "bang for your buck" of slightly used VW's is undeniable and while 6-speed manuals are appealing the DSG-DCT wins every time. Embrace it, DSG-DCT is that good. For reference, I have owned 3 GM LS1/2 6-speed manuals. Good review(er) & product! Appropriate rate of speech, calm and cool tone.

But you're right, the DSG is an amazing piece of technology, and honestly its terrific that VW caters to both sides of the enthusiasts with either transmission that you choose!! And price to fun ratio can't be beat with a GTI. Again, I appreciate u watching!

I can say hands down I love mine same year same spec as the one in video but I have the top trim it really makes a difference.

I’m a fan of the subcompact/hatch performance group. Strong and loyal Honda fan so by nature I’m biased towered the Germans. But THIS right here would be one of the FEw German vehicles I would consider driving
