A free bumper is a big win, it's gonna look really nice. I really like that front lip. I have a splitter, but I'm torn because I don't like the lip and splitter stacked. I only really want one or the other but I have mixed feelings about how my splitter looks now.

Yes nice and flush. It’s made of poly so it easily forms to the bumper.

Quick question. I am going the same route you did with my 2016 STI. I picked up a 2020 unpainted STI bumper really cheap ($309 shipped) and now have started looking for all of the parts I need to get it ready for install after paint. My question, with the 2020 fog lights having different plugs than the 2015-2017 STI’s body harness, what was your wiring solution for getting the 2018-2020 style lights to work with your harness?

I didn’t use 2020 fogs. Used the same diode dynamics I used on the 15-17 bumper. No need to change any wiring as it was all plug and play.

I thought that’s what you said in the video but assumed I was missing something because I read on Nasty Sock somewhere that I would have to go with a fog light delete or pin out and repin the plugs which I didn’t hate but didn’t live either haha. Man oh man I’m glad you let me know this! I’m ordering everything today to get this done as soon as I get the bumper back from the paint shop haha. Thanks again buddy!

You will need the 2018+ grill. The 15-17 does not fit as it is a different shape.

Will this work for the hatchback version of the wrx? I’ve seen people do it I just don’t know if any canton fabrication is involved and I’d be okay with using bumper clips if need be too but this look on the hatch is to die for

This bumper is for 2015+. This would not work on a gr without some serious fabrication.

No it’s an entirely different chassis. Whatever you saw was custom fabrication. It’s not a direct bolt on.

So a question I have for you about Subaru. I want to get an STI in a few years. I’m a Volkswagen group person (have a 2006 Jetta 2.5L FWD) but I want a car with AWD and a manual and VW Group dont offer that combination any more. I currently live in NJ but im going to be moving to NY right below lake ontario and i would be needing AWD for the winter. I was wondering whats the reliability and whats with the stigma that Subarus blow engines very often (actually a person i know has a 2005 WRX with 240k miles the car has its had 3 engines at stock power levels)

I would say the exact same thing as I did in the video. If you want an awd and manual vw option, the golf r is a great choice.

Scoobyfreak86 I dont really consider it AWD because its FWD with RWD assist. I like the longitudinal mounted AWD where it stays on all the time like (Audi Quattro, Subaru, Mercedes 4Matic)

Don’t get so stuck on awd for snow. It helps, but it’s not a necessity. A rwd car with proper winter tires will out perform and handle an awd with crappy all seasons on.
