Is it possible to use alternate bolts? And if so what are the exact specs on the bolts? I would like to get some that are blacked out.

Hello! The washer goes behind the t45 bolt and the nut only comes on the back side.

You could just tighten them with the 13mm socket tbh but It works fine Also 5/16=8mm

Why would I bolt plastic to my truck, with those countersunk bolts, that make them hard to clean? It looks cheap in my opinion.

why do people watch installation videos for products they have no intention of buying 🤔

@@WoJoMoZilla because I made myself some METAL fender flares , using these as a guide. Mine don’t have the countersunk bolt holes either. After my body shop painted them and mounted them, they look great! I like to look at the cheap garbage they peddle for laughs!

@@markcondrey2297 oooohhh METAL??!!! ... good to know you are better than everybody who buys these, or most any other flare out there.. and, anyone who has stock fender flares.. which, even the painted ones, are plastic. btw... some people who actually don't mind a little dirt and take their rigs offroad, don't want fancy painted inflexible metal tree hackers. Different strokes.

@@WoJoMoZilla My son has the plastic version and we have had to drill holes to pull dents out, the metal ones will make whoever hits you sorry. Lol. The painted plastic ones look like painted plastic, the metal ones look factory. I don’t care who paints them, painted plastic is so obvious and in my own opinion… cheap looking. I used sheet metal, a metal bending arbor, a welder and a grinder to fabricate mine. We are currently making a new pair for my son. He is sold after seeing mine.

@@markcondrey2297 ... sounds like a business in the making. If everyone had the same taste life would be boring. 😎
