Installed my kit today. Sounds great. For reference, if you dont have a lift and your doing this with jack and stands, dont even try and remove the old exhaust intact. Not enough room so i just chopped it in half.

I think mufflers like carven, the tone sounds similar to muffler deletes in the sense it has that raw type idle and growl. But I noticed it's not as deep of rumble as the mahnapacks on my ram. Debating switching from dual carven to single carven to make it louder, or switch to a single magnapack, where my other ram has dual magnapacks. Both with middle side exit

If you have a dual set up right now and planing on switching it to a single pipe it won't be louder. To make your dual set up a TRUE DUAL set up you will need a prober conversation for the exhaust to flow correctly so an X-PIPE is what you should look into. not an h-pipe or those small tiny "x-pipes" the muffler shops have. check out our x-pipe to enhance the tone of your RAM rocking the Carven-R mufflers. @@CarvenExhaust my dual setup is only a catback. Two pipes into one and back into two each with a carven muffler. Its louder with one muffler split into duals. I cut off the whole system and did a single 3 inch pipe to single magnapack muffler. It's louder than the dual carven. And I have a cutout that opens to a borla atak muffler. The link you sent doesn't work for the ypipe

I have a 2019 limited with a carven competitor series cat back exhaust, however it is one of the earlier kits as I’ve had it installed over a year, it does not have the ball style exhaust tips ( oem) . I have not been able to nor have exhaust shops been able to get the tips to sit straight in the cutouts on the bumper, either one or both are too close to the edge and very noticeable. I’ve loosened, retightened, removed, reinstalled and asked for help from professional exhaust shop to no avail without cutting/ welding. I love the sound, and performance, but the look is disappointing... can you offer some insight as to what I may do to fix the problem without completely replacing or cutting and welding?

When comparing the videos for your cat-back system video vs your replacement muffler with 5" tips video the tips on the cat-back version stick out much more past the bumper than with the muffler + tips setup. Is this adjustable or has it been changed for the 2022 trucks?

Hasn't been changed and the tips are adjustable only moving side to side and up and down not forward and backwards.

How’s the drive with this catback? I have super 10 with a resonator delete on my 19 Rebel and my only issue with it is that it feels like it’s a tad bit laggy when you put your foot on the pedal.

@@CarvenExhaust well ive bought 5 or 6 mufflers from you so far lol between my 3 trucks ive been experimenting back and forth lol I have a 2019 challenger 392 scat pack shaker, I paid 1400 for the magnaflow performance catback (thats what I had previously on my 2009 srt8, and lost it in a rollover accident) so I always wanted the same system back. It sounds great but its very smooth and refined low tone. I kinda want deeper but im not sure if the tr is gonna be too raspy/ more barky sound. They almost give it a diesel sound during idle, and I think the r series cackles alot and sounds almost like no muffler. My full length exhaust cackled alot but now it doesn't once I switched to middle side exit. I like deep rumble vs loud cackle. The tr series how can I get it as deep as possible. Smaller diameter pipe? Single muffler , single pipe? Long exhaust or short. I switched to middle side exit so I could hear it better while driving. I do have a set of electric cutouts too, not sure if they leak or have issues after time like ive heard.

Another question of topic would be muffler placement. Right at the rear or in the middle if your looking to get that deep rumble you cam feel in your chest. I find the dual magnapacks on my 07 ram 5.7 are deep and loud right away around 2000 rpm, I compared it to 2017 ram that has 3 inch single factory pipe to ypipe and dual csrvem mufflers. It was louder when the tailpipes were all the way to the bumper cutouts, I couldn't hear that growl like I wanted to while driving. So I cut half it off and thought it would be a deeper louder growl but its a little less than before. More pipe gives it deeper tone I guess. Could i go to a 2.5 inch single pipe all the way instead of 3 inch to dual 2.5s.

Depends what sound you’re going for, the Borla s type would give it a much more refined and deep tone while these carven r’s are going to be louder and with a higher pitch exhaust note. Borla s type is more comparable to the carven tr series where the goal is more of a refined tone while the carven r series is more comparable to Borla ataks where the goal is the have as much loudness as possible while still keeping a good tone

the size diameter of the piece that pitches into the tail pipes. the cut and clamp is expanded to fit the hem 2.75 inch tubing on the OE tail pipes and the cat back is expanded to 3.00 inch for the Carven Tailpipes.

I just got my non full cat back kit. I got the mid delete competitor with 5" tips. The install was super easy even without a lift. My only thing with the system is that it does not matter if I had an extra set of hands or not the clamps would not totally seal on the tips creating an exhaust leak. Went to an exhaust shop, they checked the torque specs and install and all looked good. Ended up cutting the two rear resonators out and having them welded in. Just feedback. Overall I love this kit and sound so much it's insane. I dont even turn my radio on anymore. Again just fyi. If you want aggressive this is the kit. Installing there 5" exhaust tips on my wife's 18 charger scat pack 6.4l and cannot wait to hear what they make hers sound like!
