Her coach said due to excitement Simone ran faster leading into the triple double than she normally does in training hence why she stepped out of bounds. I think it’s wonderful that Simone can be so over enthusiastic that she goes too fast, it means she still loves what she’s doing, which is great for her & gymnastics!

She used to do a 2½ twist to punch layout and has trained a punch layout 1/1 out of it, all with impeccable, Simone form. I don't know what's wrong with some people... Besides, you can't complete an Amanar, a Cheng and a Biles on vault and a Biles II on floor UNLESS you're a great twister.

The bounderies are there for a reason. Every gymnist is required to stay within bounderies or face deductions. To say they should be extended for a gymnist's power is teh opposite of perfection. Part of the challenge is to get the tumbles in without going out of bounds.

cs all equipment has changed with time and the skills we see today are a consequence of the equipment changes. The uneven bars of today are nowhere near what they were in the 60s. Same for beam, floor and vault. The size of the floor area is entirely arbitrary and can be modified if the evolution of the sports requires it.

Comments keep saying the bounderies should be extended for Biles. One of the hardest challenges is to get your routine in by sticking the landing to avoid going out of bounds. She clearly went out twice and didn't stick one of her landings and should have had deductions for that. She is great, but should be given deductions the same as the other gymnists. Sports should be equal to all without favortism.
