2019 Big Honzo DL First Ride

I borrowed a 2018 model with 29.5 and thought it was a great bike so ordered a 2019 27.5.have to wait until end of Jan for it though.worth the wait,superb bike

How are you liking the bike? I’m currently riding an X-Caliber 9, and looking to move to a more aggressive trail bike. Overall, how was the transition from 29 to 27.5? Any remorse from not having gone to a full suspension bike?

I had the X-caliber 6, so there was a big transition from spring fork to air fork, which I love. The best word to describe this bike is "fun". It's actually a transition from 29 to 27.5+. The plus tires are a little sluggish at times, but they really smooth out the ride if you take advantage of the tubeless setup and lower air pressures. I had the option to get a lower end full suspension bike or a really nice hardtail. I think I'm always gonna want a hardtail in my stable. I'll add a full suspension bike a few years down the road.

could a gravel bike handle a trail like this or is it far better ridden on a hardtail?

Never ridden a gravel bike, so I wouldn't know, but check out Tri-County Mountain Bike on Facebook and ask them about the Ridgeland Trails.

How bout the regular Honzo ? does it come with 27.5+ tires ?

The Honzo comes with 29" Tires, the Big Honzo comes with 27.5+
