That foot fault I think was a good warning. But what about Kevin’s jump putts? Aren’t you supposed to release before both feet leave the ground? Kevin almost always releases his out after both feet leave the ground. I’m new so just wondering. I am looking to add jump putts to my game and there is a pretty big difference when releasing before or after foot contact. Let me know dgers!
@Jukkis19835 жыл бұрын
Foot faults are rarelly called on jump putts because it's really difficult to see the release and feet in real time. Another thing is if you release the disc with both feet of the ground you usually lose all the momentum of that putt... in other words the putt will be very bad. But sometimes kevin's jump putt looks like he would lift the foot that is behind the mini first... that would make it a foot fault.

Jerm & Nates audio volume goes up and down constantly. Frustrating that some of the time can't hear what they are saying and some of time they are almost yelling. I don't know what kind of mic setup you have, but that is the 1 thing that needs fixing in this otherwise excellent coverage.

Last comment: I like how big jerm likes to talk about the more awkward things about the game. It makes for great commentary. Disagreements between players and rules and such. Obvious foot fault is obvious. If you have ever stepped on your disc you know it instantly. Should have seconded the call himself.
@shaned.67415 жыл бұрын
Yea but is it a fault? That disc didn't move from when he first threw it. It wasn't a mini. The rectangle behind the lies is from the front of the disc. If you mark your lie it then begins from the back of your marker. If you think about it people who use their thrown disc as their marker really only have 3 inches to place their plant foot because the disc is taking up 8 1/2- 9 inches of the box where your plant foot has to go. if his foot is stepping on the disc but is behind the closest point of the disc relative to the basket I think that's a legal play.
@Jukkis19835 жыл бұрын
It's a foot fault. If you don't use a mini then you're lie is behind the disc. Stepping on the disc is a foot fault (sorry if my english is bad)
@DelightfulDiscs5 жыл бұрын
Maybe it's technically a foot fault if you barely step on the very edge. In reality, if he used a mini, he would have had more space and it wouldn't be a foot fault.. My point is... It shouldn't be a big deal. It's like shooting a 3 in basketball. If your shoe is barely touching the line edge, is that not a 3? It happens all the time.
5 жыл бұрын
@@DelightfulDiscs If you were playing a casual game with your friends, sure, technicality foot fault and don't mind that. They are playing on the PDGA tour, though. Technically a fault should be punished, and he's even on camera, so not seconding that call himself just sets him up to look bad. It's not up to players to bend the rules, the rules are probably there for a reason. In reality, if he used a mini, this would be no problem, I agree, but he didn't.
@balt3s5 жыл бұрын
@@DelightfulDiscs correct. If your foot is barely touching the line in basketball it never counts as a three. Not even in pick up games with random people. Because everyone knows the rules and a three needs to be BEHIND the line.

Imagine any other physical professional sport where you saw a player where over the ear headphones. I do hope the rules favor removing headphones from being allowed in the sport in the future.
@smujismuj5 жыл бұрын
Just for myself, I hesitate to call any foot fault, but certainly not one that would have no discernible effect on the outcome of the shot. It just seems so trivial. Now, I might call one if the player had an unusually bad throw, to give them another try, just to be nice. Also, minis are dumb.
@potdragon80915 жыл бұрын
I guess Kevin doesn't KNOW he stepped on his disc?🙄 As usual, no honor AT ALL in this hobby. Why no replay of the OBVIOUS foot fault? Once again, good luck claiming to be "professional" with no honor AT ALL.

I can clearly see that the foot fault call was BS and affected AB the most unfortunately. KJ USA never faulted with any consistency in this or any other tournament recently. So even if the call was correct, it was uncouth!
@clemons32325 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Chipchase You’re entitled to that opinion but the fact is that he footfaulted and Jordan called what he saw. Simple as that. History of a player or intent doesn’t matter whatsoever. It would be uncouth to give certain players benefit which is what you’re suggesting.
