Chinese 8 ball must be the toughest pool game out there as your accuracy when potting on tight pockets has to be spot on. Siming Chen must be one of the greatest ladies pool players ever. Possibly even better than Allison Fisher at her peak, that is one match up i would ahve loved to have seen

In rack 31( 14 to 16 ), 2: 46, why did the referee offer ball in hand to Chen Simeng when the cue ball did strike the cushion? So long as any ball strike the cushion its consider as legal. Is this the Chinese 8 ball rule whereby the 2 balls must hit the cushion when it's frozen?

The object ball was frozen to the rail. It did not contact the rail after the cue ball hit it, because it was already contacting it at that moment. So when the object ball is frozen like that, you have to get something to a rail after the contact.

The rule is the same, the intended ball was FROZEN to Rail, so after the ball was hitter the cue ball or the ball had to hit a another rail, that the reason the referí take a CLOSE LOOK and advise the player hitting the HAND one to the other that that the intended ball is FROZEN. In this case none of the ball hit the rail after the shot.

Professional pool players shouldn't play Apa rules, that's why you're professionals, not amateurs, should be no ball in hand, should have to call all your shots,etc.

Damn....so many distractions with the female Chinese players?!? 'Cleaning the cue ball seems to be a fav of theirs. In 8-10 Western matches one would not see this happen even once. Couple together the birdlike, Chaplinesque movements; flitting around like frightened sparrows...stroking the cue too much before shooting. Stop, chalk up, get down, line up, get up, and then do tit all all over again. Ouch! Something neurotic about all the unnecessary movement, which is only seen in a few male players.

chinese 8 ball tables are crazy tight, small amounts of chalk can kick a ball missing on very tight tables. you may say unnecessary but who are you to say how people should play a game. what they are doing is working fine and they are winning titles left and right, while you sit on your computer critiquing their plays. siming chen is one of the best if not the best players right now
