Love mine just got it couple weeks ago ! I had been riding a yz250 2 stroke . But I'm getting older and just luv the smooth power the 450x has it's kinda sneaky fast it's so quiet in stock form but it definitely has plenty of power !

Can you tell me where you got your red with white numbers graphics. Have same bike and want that same look. looks really good. also what size numbers?
@Cannondale9005 жыл бұрын
Blaine Martin thanks man! Factory effex is where I got them. To be honest the side number plates don’t fit very well at all. There a little small in my opinion. But it was all that was available at the time when it first came out. The sizing is just one of their templates.

Where in the country do you ride? Saw your comment saying it over heated on slower 1st gear stuff. I am in Indiana and have everything from paddle your way through and survive trails to 50mph rollers. Is it suitable for SOME slower stuff with a fan? Thanks.

Just got the 22’ CRF 450X first actual dirtbike came off a DRZ400sm. I wanna put the exhaust on but wanna stay within tolerable limits with the spark arrestor hopefully…. what do you think?
@fynn82522 жыл бұрын
The exhaust he has in this video (Yoshimura RS4) comes with a spark arrestor. If you do buy an exhaust, you have to make changes to the fueling. Otherwise your bike will run lean as hell and the motor won't last as long. I suggest getting a Vortex ECU or JD Jetting fuel programmer in conjunction with the exhaust.

what is the difference between the L and the X
@Cannondale9005 жыл бұрын
L is street legal. Has more emission restrictions on it to make it legal for the road than compared to the X. Gearing is a little different as well. But overall, same bike just with slight changes with the engine.
@controlledfreakr4 жыл бұрын
Lunik Gjata the l is slow and the x goes fast. The LX goes hard on the road legally.

Hello I got the same bike did you did anything else to it like changing Ecu? O just the pipe how is responding? Any problems yet?
@Cannondale9004 жыл бұрын
haven't done anything with the ECU. the x and the l are different in that the l needs an ECU adjustment to fix all of the emissions. I didn't even get the full exhaust just the slip on. works amazing with zero issues. I'm sure you've done the research but throttle response and sound is onpoint now.
@robertocgomezdelacruz4 жыл бұрын
@@Cannondale900 so wait you just change the exhaust and that it ? Can you please send me a link of the parts you put on??
No tuner yet. I know the L really needs one for all of the emissions to run on the street (backfiring and stalling). Haven't put on one this and it's been great. Zero issues
@sandersondan3 жыл бұрын
Did you have any tuning issues with the exhaust?
@Cannondale9003 жыл бұрын
I left the stock ECU and didn't touch it. The bike would heat up occasionally on slower parts of the trail.

You may want to adjust your chain with proper slack and re-install your chain guide just hate to see you throw your chain and munch engine case - also without proper chain slack you will ruin sprockets/chain and countershaft bearing/seal because as the swingarm moves through stroke and gets to mid travel it lengthens distance between sprockets and chain tightens - check manual or swingarm for proper slack - just trying to help fellow Honda rider!
@tieoneon16144 жыл бұрын
Bigger than 52 rear sprocket, the chain guide doesnt fit. And Honda calls for only 3/4" - 1" of free play in the chain otherwise it rubs into the swingarm. Proper chain tension like he has isnt an issue with no chain guide, i ran that for years zero problems
