Badgerland Birding

Badgerland Birding

5 жыл бұрын

Join the Badgerland Birding crew as they venture off on their annual first of the year birding trip to see how many species they can rack up in a single day. This year, their search for rare birds over volume takes them to the southwest corner of Wisconsin, but will it pay off?

I’ve got a thick billed and common murre in my area who have been hanging out for a for weeks. Along with black legged kittiwakes over the flicks of razorbills

How does a Hammond's flycatcher survive a Wisconsin winter?
@BadgerlandBirding
@BadgerlandBirding 3 жыл бұрын
We were all asking the same question. It was Wisconsin’s first state record. We thought since they live mostly in the mountains it may have been used to colder weather and more hardy.

People fuss around too much with empidonax ID too much here in California, they say stuff like primary projection, and coloration etc etc. The real way to ID a HAFL is simple "if chonk, then hammy"
