2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt: A Modern Classic in the Making?

Is the 2019 Mustang Bullitt a modern classic in the making? 5.0 liter V8 with a 6-speed manual transmission. 480HP and 420 LB-FT of torque.

Nice review. It’s a blast to drive. I have a 2019 Bullitt with: -lighter brake rotors -lighter wheels, square not staggered (originals stored away) -IRS subframe brace (first thing I did to it and completely worth it to have the rear not feel like it’s floating) -front subframe brace -Ford Performance Magneride handling pack. I’ve had a tune on it a couple of times but kept going back to the original tune because the sound of the car is just too good to leave for some horsepower and torque gain. I also disabled the exhaust noise from coming through the speakers. Now, I hear the exhaust coming from the rear only which is where I expect to hear it and it’s still plenty loud inside. It’s a near perfect daily driver for me.

The exhaust noise doesnt come through the speakers 🤣 At least not here in the UK it doesnt. Full stage one tune with an H-Pipe doesnt change the exhaust note, it just makes it a little louder. Pops and bangs a little more in Sport mode too.

I have had my 2019 with all the options for 10 months now and have never regretted spending the money on this car. I make up places to go just to be able to drive more, daily driver? Hell, yes!

Mike this will definitely become a modern day classic. So happy you were able to purchase it!! There is just no better sounding exhaust than the one a Mustang V8 makes. I have owned a 2002 and a 2006. Both absolutely fun vehicles to drive. I almost got a 2013 one as well. I hope I am lucky to one day find a used S550 one. Like you I prefer that interior over the current 2024 Mustang. Just not a fan of those screens. Enjoy the Bullitt!!

Thank you for the review. I had purchased a 21 GT and wish this was still available at the time. Love the sleeper look with the highland green. I also prefer the the S550 to the 650. Not enough changes to justify the price hike, and tbh I’m not a fan of the changes they actually made.

I know you are just doing a review but while you are there buy that car. It is a 2019, it was built before the pandemic. Last of the good cars. And that one has a lot. Add a centrifugal super charger (Ess, Paxton etc) and it will add 100 plus hp in the upper revs. I am partial, I have a 2019 GT 6 speed, kona blue. btw, My office is Edison NJ while I live in Bucks County PA and commute. Luv the Lawrenceville area, always have. Quaker bridge Mall is one of our favs. I used to go to a bar (in foolish younger days) right across the bridge from Washington's Crossing on the NJ side when PA was still 21 but NJ lowered age to 18.
