Proper practical overland build. Not the entire accessory shop thrown in like the USA rigs. I like it!

Simple and nice build (may be because I also l have and love the Onca bumper!) Just out of curiosity and interest, why do you have a stand alone GPS unit, when you already have an in-car GPS on the infotainemnt unit?

Cool hilux so far. It is a pity you didn't talk about dust proofing the back.
@roamingrhinooverland12934 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Hard to remember every single detail. But not much dust sealing required. The Hilux comes with a cab window. So usually canopies sold for the Hilux also has a sliding window. If you don't have a positive pressure vent built into the canopy, just open the canopy sliding window about 5cm. Dust doesn't enter at all.

Whats the cost of that baby
@roamingrhinooverland12933 жыл бұрын
I have stopped adding numbers🤣 but then again. I have not made a massive upgrade in the past year. I think I have come to a point where I am just refining stuff. Still need to do rock sliders and would love to get a rear bumper. But it's not a priority at the moment.
@gordonallison13484 жыл бұрын
Great video. Can you give an approx cost of the conversion, please?
@roamingrhinooverland12934 жыл бұрын
Not an easy answer, as I have done a lot of DIY, especially the electricals. And stuff done inside the canopy. But outside with tents and awnings, suspension, bumper and wheels you looking at over a R100k 😬 never made the sum, and now I know why.

how much odes it cost to make that bakkie look that sexy?
@roamingrhinooverland12934 жыл бұрын
Well it all depends and what you send off to be done, and what you try and do yourself. But building something that suits your needs is a marathon, it's trail and error all the way
