Can i cut Bottom of Guardian for a humminbird 7'' Mega SI Transducer ?

Couldn't you just adjust the tension from the other end (where the T-handle is)?

If the adjustment is made at the T-handle and the line is cut to allow the cap to be placed back on. Future adjustments may not be possible due to the reduction of cord.

How much junk will it accumulate when in shallow grass? Is this a good add or a fad?

With the included bracket that is installed in front of the transducer to prevent impact and debris collecting on the transducer, the accumulated junk should be to a minimum.

My totalscan transducer is getting scuffed up with the bracket that's out now; let's hope this eliminates that.

Mine is also with the Berkley Pro. Hoping this will solve that issue. Its a pain to clean out the Berkley Pro cover plate if you do a lot of shallow or sand style fishing. This one looks like it only 3 Hobie screws and it can be cleaned out.
