I have considered swapping out the OEM rear deck lid spoiler for a smaller duckbill, but I keep looking at the OEM admiring it’s clean lines. 👍

@@TheLemonFactor Same. It looks like it belongs on the car. It follows the car's lines perfectly. I wound up getting the side skirts and rear under spoilers as well. They all follow the car's natural lines so well.

How would I know if I have a lemon car because I feel like my Honda accord gave me so many problems like is the steering wheel supposed to make a noise when moving back and forth. Paint is very ugly as well bought the car in the dark worst decision

because it has a small spoiler already attached. but it will still work. you have to plug up the holes that it already has on the trunk from factory spoiler

Hi, I just got my 2019 Honda Sport 2.0...would you know if I remove the spoiler on it now, will the holes line up with the one you installed in this video? It currently has the small lip spoiler....really flat. This one is sweet?

Is there any gap between the trunk and the spoiler or is it perfectly flush ... I assume that since the 3m is a sponge like material that there is some give and therefore there would be a small gap?

There is no gap (just double checked ) 😁. Remember it’s screwed down as well.

@@TheLemonFactor on one side of mine there has appeared a small gap ... nothing of grave concern but the rest is seated flush ... it’s a small maybe 4 inch area ... I’ve had it on for about a year now... any suggestions on what I could do to remedy this ... I was thinking about a glue product

Without seeing it, it’s hard to tell. I’d be uneasy about applying any type of glue as I wouldn’t want it to chemically damage the paint. If it’s not too bad I’d probably leave it. If it is I would be inclined to remove and reinstall. 🤷‍♂️

@@TheLemonFactor Great job. I just bought the same exact spoiler which the dealer included free installation since I was getting warranty work the same day I bought it. That being said I had 2 questions. Are you noticing a bit of an air gap around the entire front of the spoiler? Mine has a gap all around the front, that I can push down flush, but it will go back up, It's not a big gap, but it is noticeable. Second, I noticed that although the same color, this seemed to be a slight shade different of white, seems to be a bit of a brighter white. Thanks

@@TheLemonFactor Just got them installed yesterday, they make a big difference, maybe a little too much. The springs are soo strong that it goes up the entire way without any assistance and it slams towards the top. It also takes a bit more pressure to close it. I might re-install one of the original springs to lessen the effect, but I do like the stronger spring rate.

Overkill. The two way tape should suffice . Nice you went through all the steps though . I don't like drilling unnecessarily. I'm installing the black OEM spoiler on my 2019 touring tonight 🇨🇦. OEM parts are the best

I have the Sport 2.0T. I like this spoiler better. Any idea if the holes in the trunk are the same for this spoiler? Nice job by the way. It takes courage to drill into a perfectly good trunk!

I'm very happy with it too... I like the subtle two-tone effect. I don't know if the holes are the same. However, if you remove the inner trunk paneling you may be able to eyeball it to see if they appear to be in the same spot. Even if they aren't there's plenty of ways to cover up the original holes.

I don't like the look of this OEM spoiler due to the two tones. This involves drilling too which I'm not a big fan of because what if you end up wanting to change it later on? I honestly think 3M tape all the all way around would've been fine since you said that this spoiler was light in weight. I know it's an OEM part so the love to make its fully secured with bolts and screws. I have a 20 Touring model as well and looking to get a color matching spoiler. I already have something in mind and I can't wait to install it. Thanks for an awesome install videos though and great content as always.

What did you end up getting foe your accord? I want to find a color match spoiler for my wife's 2021 2.0t Touring. I though this Oem one is pretty good but I dont like the idea of drilling my trunk.

Honda puts the bolts on their spoilers for a reason, don't rely on tape alone.

Despoiler you putting on it's too small the one I bought my car is way better it's a duckbill spoiler. Second of all you don't need to drill holes this is a very strong double stick tape out there that would hold that down

I love my OEM spoiler and the two tone white and black accent. I've very happy with it. Perfect for what I'm looking for. I don't know if I'd trust it to be held on with just tape - better to be safe than sorry - it was easy enough to install.
