I am so thankful for the aeroscreen and would riot if they got rid of that head protection, but without it these are the best looking cars since 1995 and it isn't close.

I didn't realize how hard it would be to see Robin on the broadcast. Just realizing that I'll never see him again on a live broadcast... it hits really hard. When I got into IndyCar in the mid 2000s until his passing he's been the center of my relationship with IndyCar. I always felt like he was my guy there asking the questions I wanted to ask.

@@monikaburwell3314 it was a podium finish tho not a win. Huge achievement of course but just wanted top point that out.

Seeing these without the aero screens is like seeing F1 cars without the halos. It just feels weird now, knowing how much safer the drivers are when they have aeroscreen/halo

My daughter called out Taku a quarter way into the 2012 500, we've been fans ever since. Got to meet him at Gateway in 19, a very nice guy with the b@77$ of a lion

Still disappointed that IndyCar withheld the yellow for so long, directly leading to Chilton's crash at 1:13:19, as everyone raced into the pits before race control threw the inevitable yellow. Either a car stopped on track is dangerous, or it isn't. Quit trying to artificially influence the race results, smh.

I don't have any information about next year yet, but I want Sato to race for AJ again before he retires, and I want him to win the Indy 500 for the great man who invited him to be my driver. Is it too romantic to think this way?

1:11:47 So I guess this race was the start of delayed FCYs and using Local Yellows until everyone from the lead had stopped, something they still do nowadays
