I live in San Diego with a 2013 Honda Accord EXL and the camera on the passenger mirror is phenomenal in heavy freeway 4-5 lane traffic!!! I'm glad to see it actually exist in new vehicles! I absolutely hate a dot light appearing on my mirror to tell me that a car is next to me. The camera mirror is so much better!!!💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

Albert Wiersch somebody on prius forums said that next gen prius may be diesel hybrid. Its probably nonsense but if thats true, 60mpg combined could be possible. At this current tike, the new Insight is a fricking amazing car.

I’m a huge fan of my Touring model. Was quite disappointed it did not come with back sensors to go along with the backup camera! I need the chimes! I also wish it had a heated steering wheel. The tire inflation kit is a joke as is any kit now being used in place of a spare! I love the tail lights. The civic and accord tail lights look like two hands hold a sandwich!! I’m an aggressive driver and still get 46 mpg! The Sport mode is impressive for the small engine! It took some getting accustomed to the CVT but a few months it was great and has good response. I’m a bigger guy but these seats support me well!

I heard the new Insight has the regular battery inside the front passenger area, below the floor console ? I really like the new Insight for a hybrid passenger car. But, I might prefer the 2019 HRV (w/ magic seats) - can't wait for a Honda Laura's review of that one (hope the base model LX, HRV, kept the CD player !)

Just drove it, liked the car but the one massive thing you missed here is Dynamic cruise control like the camry hyrbid I drove right after had. As a bay area commuter where traffic rules all roads, that is a must have and Honda missed the mark on it for me.

Paddle shifters? There is no gear shifting in this car. Those paddles are to charge the battery while braking. I don't believe there is a rear cross traffic alert either.

I traded in a 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Limited for the 2019 Honda Insight Touring. Put over 700 miles on the Insight. Traded the Insight after one week of ownership for a 2019 Ioniq. The Insight engine sound was annoying, got fewer mpg than the Ioniq, and the car sits sat low that it was difficult to get in and out of the Insight. The Ioniq gets better mpg, the controls on the dash have buttons, as well as a touch screen, the Ioniq is easier to enter and exit, plus the Ioniq comes with a lifetime warranty on the battery as long as I own the car! The Insight looks great, but dollar for dollar, the Ioniq gives more overall value for the money.
