Thanks a lot! This one was kind of done on the fly and only using my phone. However, I feel like it actually came out overall pretty well for what it was. The only thing I wish I had with me at that time that might have made it better were my microphone and my GoPros.

Kevo Devo I hear your point. We do have to keep in mind the class of car we are talking about. IMO though, the automatic in this Elantra was the real culprit for making it feel like a slug. However, a manual version might have made that 147 HP actually feel a lot more peppy than it did here given the right circumstance and gear ratio of course. This is pretty much the exact same problem I had with the CVT in the 2022 Corolla Apex I drove (169 HP). I guess I'm getting spoiled now driving all of these much faster cars that when I drive the lower HP ones they feel like they just can't even compare. I truly don't ever expect these types of economy cars to blow my socks off. However, I do try my best to be relatively fair when reviewing all different types of cars, and see the car with an unbiased opinion at its price point and, "meet it where it is".
