So much more than a normal ITHF acceptance speech... the crowd is stunned, Mary has such presence, she is ‘inhabited’, clear eyed, impressive speaker, but the journey she covers can be uncomfortable and cringe worthy

I was really into Mary's speech until Jesus entered the picture...it's one thing to share your life on the tour but to deliver a speech for 40 mins + is to me disrespectful of the other inductees and the crowd. Who wants to hear it - not me. Write a book so your followers may buy and read it.

Thank you. I felt exactly the same way. She was never one of my favorites, but still I always liked Mary Pierce. This was just beyond tacky, though. Hogging up all the time and preaching about Jesus, ugh. These so-called born again Christians always feel so entitled to preach their religion to others, and it's so disrespectful. You want to give a brief shout-out to JC, fine, whatever. But this 40 minute church sermon was totally obnoxious. I have no desire to hear anything she ever says again.

I think Mary’s speech was maybe a tad too long, but it was a very brilliant, strong speech. Hearing that made me admire her even more. If Jesus and her belief helped her recover from all the traumas and healed her heart, it is part of her journey and I understand she has to mention that.
