Stomp 140 is a decent pit bike to get you started, there’s a few on the market to look at CW, Symoto and MPR all build good race ready pitbikes. You can pick up a decent race ready one second hand with plenty of spares.

lee on the back wheel, decent bike has everything you need to get started, adjustable suspension etc. It would be worth spending the extra to get the Mikuni carb kit. Also you’ll want to change the Maxxis tyres to PMT’s as they are the best race tyre.

@@michaelthompson191 but is the pit bike reliable enough where I can just go out and start it up and it will run fine all the time with the right time because I have a stomp 125 and it hasn't even broke once in 2 years

How much would this cost to get into on "the cheap" I know bottomless money pit as with all motorsports but I'd imagine it would be cheaper than running bigger bikes racing. Looks like good craic.

It costs abt 5k for a bike mabey 800 for gear and all other stuff like van and petrol so abt 10k

I originally bought my bike secondhand for £800, you would be looking about £1250 now for a secondhand bike. Set off tyres will cost you around £180.00 (depending on how hard you ride will last most of a season) and an entry into a round including transponder hire is £75.00. That gives you a 6 lap warm up, 6 lap qualifying and 3 X 6 lap races. Add an additional class for £20.00. You need to factor in fuel and traveling to meetings but its still one of the cheapest motorsports you can compete in!
