What's great in this Isuzu is that this truck is very straight forward, no drama no fashionable aesthetics just a truck. You got the good and reliable diesel engine and like what caco said it can carry a thousand kilo on his back.

Just a basic old truck to be honest. Other competitor's entry level truck has more features and advanced than this one.

@@marinerchris at the end of the day, its the engine and cargo load that matters.
@marinerchris4 жыл бұрын
@@Axelerate93 just as I said. It's a basic truck. Other competitors like Ford Ranger has a load capacity of 1, 120 kgs and the likes of Hilux and others, more than the Isuzu. You must have a Dmax, I've driven a handful of them, let's be honest, it is really Outdated. Once you've enter the interior of other trucks, you'll get your head turning.
@miokujou4 жыл бұрын
I can very much agree! The Isuzu D-max was not made to be luxurious, to be fast, or to be a head turner, it was made for one thing and it is to be a work horse! It was made to carry heavy cargo, tow heavy trailers, and be used in a construction site or quarry as an all around service vehicle. It was made to be used and abused and still do its job properly.
@cantiladrianeb.62414 жыл бұрын
Yep because it is isuzu they dont add up fancy technologies to the truck to make it more "hightech" and its not also made to race in the highway heavy loads tough terrains uphill and downhill are the true territory of the pick up trucks

This truck Isuzu D-max can't even climb a muddy up hill road ( I know coz I've seen it with my own eyes) with no load that a 4x4 multicab can easily climb with tons of load. This truck is not a workhorse, it's for people who love looks and style.
@icewallowcome_daily98024 жыл бұрын
I mean it has somethings in the back but not too to heavy lower the suspensions.
@miokujou4 жыл бұрын
@@icewallowcome_daily9802 was it traversing mud or a loose dirt road? Was it using proper tires for the road condition it was in? I don't know about in other countries but here in the Philippines a 3rd world country the Top 2 pickup trucks that are used as a work horse by different kinds of private and public companies are the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-max. From electrical and water companies, government vehicles, construction vehicles, etc the Hilux and D-max has always been the top choices as a work vehicle.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ISUZU D-MAX/MU-X/ALTERRA AND THE 4JJ1-TC/4JJ1-TCX/4JJ3-TCX ENGINE In the Philippine automotive market, the 4JJ1 family starts with the Isuzu Alterra in 2005. At the time, it was the first Euro 3 diesel vehicle offered in this country. Heading over to Thailand where drag diesels are very popular, this particular engine was a very potent engine for tuning. Thai people and even foreigners said that this engine is as potent as the mighty 2JZ-GTE from the 1993-2002 Toyota Supra MK4. In simple remap, the engine is capable of 259-277 BHP. But when the forged internals, bigger injectors, bigger turbo, and re-stroking come into play, the engine is capable of 1200-1260 BHP. For instance, this kind of four-digit horsepower is reserved for some supercars like the Bugatti Veyron, Bugatti Chiron, Koenigsegg Agera, Koenigsegg Jesko, and the like. But with the 4JJ1 and even its newer variations, four-digit horsepower is finally accessible to the masses. Regarding the quarter mile times, they are running around 7.1-8.7 seconds which is way faster than most supercars. This engine is a blast from the past, especially the 90's tuning culture where 2JZ, RB26, 4G63, and many others are very popular among tuners. Back in the Philippines in 2007, the Isuzu D-Max with the 4JJ1 engine was launched in our country. These subsequent releases after this vehicle with this engine are 2nd Generation D-Max in 2013, Alterra replacement MU-X in 2016, Blue Power Euro 4 upgrade for both D-Max and MU-X in 2017, and the upcoming launch of the 3rd Generation D-Max on March 4, 2021, with the 4JJ3-TCX as its engine. Regarding the 4JJ3, it is like a 4JJ1 with an electronic variable geometry turbo and 250 MPa injectors to produce 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque. For the upcoming vehicle, it will be very likely to become one of two hyper-tunable cars that are currently and commonly available in the market, with MU-X sharing its honor. Throughout its lifetime, the D-Max, Alterra, and the MU-X with the 4JJ1 engine are tuner favorites because of its high tuning potential and some similarities with the 2JZ such as an all-turbo exhaust soundtrack, prominent turbo flutter, cast iron block and aluminum head, and being a closed-deck engine. So when you own an Isuzu vehicle with the 4JJ1, you will be impressed by the tuning potential that these three vehicles can offer. Regarding the local drag diesel scene, the 2012 Isuzu D-Max 4JJ1 was tackling the Clark International Speedway drag strip last month with a 9.73-second quarter mile.
