You should be running Motorex products on a KTM. They recommend it and are designed for them. Also you forgot the drain plug on the bottom

They recommend Bel Ray for Husky even tho it’s basically the same motor. It’s all about who pays the most money to be the recommended oil. Maxima, Bel Ray, Motorex, etc are all good oil. Typically as long as it’s Dirt Bike specific it’s pretty good oil to run

1. T-30 torx fits oil filter cover on my 2019 fresh off the showroom floor. 2. What process did you use to break in the bike before going Full Throttle?

Sam Baker hey man I’m a service advisor at a powersports dealership, upon delivery of your bike it is already essentially 100% broke in when the motorcycle dealership loaded it in your truck. The technician during a PDI will heat cycle it after it’s been woke up out of transport mode, they high idle for about 3 minutes and then piss some coolant and they’re ready to rip.

I have a KTM 450 2020.5 factory. Was I right in hearing 1.2L of oil and is it 10W50 oil Thanks

Best resource is always the owners manual. With that, I looked up a 2020 manual and yes still 1.2L and 10W50!

The screen in the forward hole? Remove, clean thoroughly, and re-install when doing the oil change.
