Hello Alex, first of all i want to mention that am not that guy who comments on videos, but after long time watching you, i want to say some complement to you. Watching your videos reminds me GM Michail Tal's games, as he wasnot always following rules and was thinking out of the box, as he was tactically solving strategic problems... Your masterpieces are same , aspecially without using schematics :) Good luck in life!

Wow wow wow, just wow, I've seen at least a year of your videos in like 2 weeks and this short was one of the hardest you've done and you found it like it was nothing, if another person would have worked on that board they would at least lose like 5x the time you spent working on that board. My applause

Alex, Great job on finding the short. Your digital meter display was not shown during the stream so we could not follow you on measuring for the shorted part.

I bought my first ever Apple product ever in my life recently, found a new minty fresh in box unopened iPad Air 2, isn't the greatest thing but the screen is astonishing compared to my other tabletry and has quite nice sounds etc, heck I paid £20 and the most it will do is play vids and ebooks lol

Alex may I ask what temperature you use and airflow speed to remove components so fast and with no flux? Ι see the solder on all surrounding components liquifies which means the temps are quite high, isn't it risk to displace or fly away other components like this

Hey Alex, what is that program you're using to check the PCB schematics? I have a pair of g930 headphones on my hands that I'm trying to figure out a missing component issue.. maybe that app could help. Or if anyone could tell me what is labeled as "Z" on a Logitech G930 headphones PCB? I've seen people say its a varistor or a filter, but that's all. No values, no nothing.

I give a free keyboard cover to all of my customers for this reason. Back when I first started out, I was selling NEW 2009 MacBook Pros, I was setting one up and spilled ICE TEA on the keyboard. had to spend 800 to replace the logic board (did not have the knowledge on how to do that back then) but what choice did I have? brand new 2400 dollar computer, cheaper to lose 400 dollars than lose 2400! keep drinks away from computers, it happens ALL THE TIME! and MacBooks 2018 and up, ALL OF THEM have SSD on the logic board, so you MUST repair the board to get your data if you didn't back up!
@Man-xk9rz9 ай бұрын
I don't see why apple has to solder their SSDs on the motherboards. What's the point?
@ianbrooke63427 ай бұрын
I don't get it, if the customer only wants the data why not just remove the drive and copy it to a stick?
