This woman was a Goddess in every way possible. So natural, pure and unique. I wish she had someone closer to her like her Mom with her in New York. She seemed to be a person that strived for perfection at very high levels, and was doing a hell of a job at achieving it , although she may have had a problem recognizing it. RIP beautiful pure soul.

Every Miss US, Miss Universe gets cyber bullied. Miss 2019 Universe, Catiana Grey was just talking about the horrible posts sent to her and shaming her. cheslie had functional depression her mom said. She was in the hospital for two weeks. She laughed and joked about the trolls who trolled her. Cheslie quit practicing law after her Miss US reign and seemed to not know what to do next. When asked at the pageant what was next for her she says she’s going to continue practicing law so there could be more diversity and change the system. She didn’t do that and quit practicing law. She was struggling left and right. Such an intelligent and beautiful woman to have around.

She reflects such confidence and enthusiasm about her life. I don't follow beauty pageants, so therefore I didn't know her until I learned of her death. Because I have spent most of my life working in a mental health clinical capacity, I did quite a bit of online research in order to try to understand how such an amazing individual could do such a thing. Even though I have gained some insights, and thereby think I have a better understanding of what could have happened, I must confess that, when I see an interview like this, or I see her vlogs, etc., I fall back into disbelief. Anyway, this was a great interview, she is amazing and I must also say that the interviewer was quite good here, too. RIP, Cheslie.

Not to be the word police, or come off haughty, but in a loving nudge, the word is "fathom" not phantom. I have heard and seen this error too many times. My first time pointing it out to someone. Blessings Stella, just trying to help you with your groove. Hope you don't mind the constructive correction. Since I have seen it many times, it could be lifted up to a public service announcement (PSA) for others as well. FYI, I suspect foul play in some kind of way. Too many gaps from too many angles. My gut intuition is foul play. RIP C.K. Condolences to her family. Such a loss.

I am so tired of hearing the, "Strong Blk Woman Title." In almost all situtations, Blk women are expected to be strong for themselves and for everyone close to them. It is almost as if Blk women cannot be vulnerable, or we are not allowed to be vulnerable. In almost all situations, we are not taken seriously because we are expected to remain strong....No matter what. Even when we go to the doctor and disclose an illness that we are experiencing, it is almost always downplayed. This is evident in the number of Blk women who die during child birth. In many situations, we are never taken seriously when we do try an disclose hurt and pain, which leads me to the topic of mental illness. Yes, Blk women can suffer from depression and anxiety just like anyone else. I am tired of everyone labeling us as strong....Meaning, we are not allowed to have a weak moment, where we need someone to be there for us for a change. I would like to say behind a person's smile can hold a great deal of pain. I am speaking from first hand experience. Rest Peacefully Cheslie.
