I traded a 2016 GT 6 speed manual for a 2019 GT 10 speed auto. First let me say the manual is fun to drive. But as a daily driver in the summer months the constant shifting around town does get tedious. MPG about 16-17 in town. My auto sometimes seems like it doesn’t know what gear it wants to be in. I don’t race or do any track app stuff just enjoy my ride.

Yeah I absolutely love the the 10 speed. I have had couple hiccups but it shifts pretty good especially when getting on the car. Paddle shifter response is great too for when you want to have fun.

Yeah I’ve got 45k miles on mine and it’s been great so far. Couple software hiccups but nothing major

I got avg 30 mpg driving to ny from Colorado and a range of 489 miles on 93 octane

You beat my record! Highest I have seen is 29.4mpg on an 8 hour trip. Pro Tip use snow/wet mode for even better mileage!

Yeah it shifts really quick overall a really good transmission. I have had couple issues that I have made videos on if you wanted to check. Hopefully your 10 speed works perfectly fine!

Mine can take a while to warm up especially in cold weather,like no forward movement at all kinda feels like building up pressure. What I do now is leave it in drive hand break on while shutting garage doors etc till she warms and then it’s totally sweet

Yes that is correct all mustang gt and Ecoboost from 2018 and up with automatic transmission will have 10 speed transmission

@@cgl0698 it’s a regular automatic but pretty good transmission! The manual on GT are the MT82 which have some problems so I’d personally advise against it. If you getting a Shelby or Mach 1 then you get a Tremec manual transmission. Overall 10 speed is pretty good

Not as fast as DCT as that’s on a different league but very fast for an automatic transmission

I used Meguiars Gold Carnauba wax. Only $10 or so but does the job really well for a street driven car

Mohamed Almarzuqi Yeah that does seem strange especially if the car is running fine. Even accelerating hard I would expect 200-220 miles out of it. I would wait until the break in period is over (1000 miles or so) if nothing improved then ask the dealer to check

@@Red5oh I think the problem is I haven’t gotten comfortable to drive in the higher gears on the streets. I usually go through first second and third gear and stay at third which at 25-35 mph the revs are at 3k or higher Also the occasional pull from first gear every other stoplight haha

Yeah the only problem is the reliability in the 10 speed.

Most 10 speed issues are actually software related whereas mt82 has issues with the hardware itself which can be more costly

No with the paddle shifters you cannot set a specific rpm to shift at. S mode allows you to let computer hold gears longer if you want to have fun

Lol! Yeah I’ve heard with Ecoboost motors in general, they are good on gas when driven conservatively but if you drive aggressive they don’t do much better than the bigger NA engines
