2019 Raptors were one of the greatest defensive teams of all time. Their starting 5 was basically an all defensive team with Ibaka off the bench. They had the perfect mix of veterans and young stars with Kawhi as the superstar, perfectly balanced team.

OG on the Raptors was also ruled out by injury, Kawhi was just coming back from an injury the warriors gave him because they knew they could never beat Kawhi even when they were fully healthy and Lowry had a broken hand. The injuries weren't only stacked on the warriors, Raptors won fair and square if you don't think so then Warriors were never a dynasty because they only got to the fnals each year because they were going up against badly injured squads lol. So that "doesn't count". In 2018 if Chris Paul didn't get hurt the rockets would've won so that "doesn't count", and if the clippers didn't face a bunch of injuries same thing. The warriors have benefited from a lot of injuries its just part of the game. Warriors were lucky they weren't swept in this series

Cleveland also beat the Warriors with an injured Steph, Iggy, and Bogut, and Draymond suspended, but nobody mentions that. Houston only got the series that far in the first place because Iggy was injured in Game 3. Warriors were up 2-1 and then lost games 4 and 5 by 3 and 4 points. Iggy doesnt get injured, Warriors win both of those, and CP3's injury is irrelevant. Steph was already on a 14-0 run when Kawhi was injured, they were already making their comeback. To anyone saying the Spurs wouldve won the series, you're dreaming. One game, possibly. Two at best. Just because you have one blowout game doesnt give you the series. The Rockets blew the Spurs out at San Antonio in 2017 Game 1. Didnt matter. The Warriors blew the Cavs out in Game 1 & 2 in 2016 by 30+. Didnt matter. The list goes on.

I don't think people realize how much better the Raptors played than the warriors in this series. Both of the warriors wins came down to the last bucket. Game 2 - Iggy hitting the three with 5 seconds left & Game 5 - Lowry's three getting blocked by Draymond to win the game. When in comparison 3/4 of the Raptors wins were by a decisive amount (Game 1- Raps by 9, Game 3 - Raps by 14, Game 4 - Raps by 13) it was only game 6 which was close. Yes, injuries were a factor, but you can't dispute the Raptors played much better than the warriors. Despite the Raptors winning in 6 (which seems close) the series was not as close as it seems. People argue that if the Warriors wouldn't have been injured they would've won the series easily, but in reality we'll never know who would've won.

Honestly I initially thought Siakam deserved the Finals MVP. Yeah Kawhi was the figure head for the playoffs overall. but Skillz stepped up hard in the Finals.

The start of game 2's 3rd quarter, the home fans(Raptors) entered late when the Warriors smell blood. And game 5's Nick Nurse timeout when Kawhi was super hot and all players similarly exhausted.

If you watch the last 5 minutes of this Game 6 Finals and Game 6 of Eastern Conference Finals you'll realize that Raptors were never a one man team. Both on Offense and Defense. Its the difference between championship teams/rosters that are built and those that are bought. if you want to see the Art of Basketball watch the last 5 minutes of both those games. Undrafted Players out of the Mud. Incredible Scouting from Front Office. Brilliant Acquisitions & Trades. Incredibly Confident Coaching. Defense First Mentality. Player Leadership and IQ. Great Player Conditioning and Resilience. Well rounded Roster and Role Players. Depth of Talent. The Raptors were a Championship team from top to bottom. It was Inspirational.

@@kennethopoku4221 Cavs excuse the year prior was that irving and love were injured but look at them healthy and losing 3-1, if green would of been injured I'm okay by cavs making history but gm 5 in oakland with them up 3-1 curry and klay would be off the ball with green handling the ball and if then with green there and cavs go on to make history I would of been cool with it

RebelDaSoundz Green was suspended for one game. Don’t know if Bogut was a factor in that series but after he was injured, the Warriors lost the last two games. Although Warriors only had Bogut at centre. Don’t know how effective Speights or Festus we’re during those games
