2019 Nissan Sentra radio volume knob not working/intermittent

I tried this and can't believe it works. 4 years controlling volume from steering. Thank you for uploading this video. Guys make sure you twist the knob left and right after u spray.

I have a 2019 ALTIMA and this erratic volume knob issue was the only problem with the car and it drove me nuts having to control the volume only from the steering wheel!!! But again, thx to YT I was able to fix it for free!!! Pull out the knob and spray a lil WD-40 both inside the knob and also in the open slot... Spray with some can electronics duster or dry wipe both spots. Re-attach the knob and the volume knob should be working 1000%!!! GL!!!

Damn I just tried this with WD-40 Contact Cleaner on my 2019 Nissan Sentra SV and it worked thank you for the tip I was just about to change the radio saved me some cash

@@stanley12345ish I actually didn't do it, but you shouldn't have a problem taking it off or on again. Even if it's not quite as snug as before, 50¢ worth if super glue is always an option

Need to do this to my 05 Taco, it just slowly starting to do this, and yeah so far most videos are just showing to use contact cleaner or wd40. Wooo I thought I was going to have to replace the knob(disassemble stereo) or look for a new stereo

Still working as far as I know. Ive done it to multiple customer cars and haven’t heard anything back about it not working

@@CesarPortillo Sadly no. I haven’t had the issue come up for a while. Only maybe like twice since I first brought it up. So it either has fixed itself, or it’s all just by chance.

Also an update, the trick for the WD40 in the knob worked for me! So that’s one issue down haha.

My volume knob on my 2019 Nissan Sentra stopped working but the steering wheel controls for the radio work fine so that's how I adjust the volume.

I'm headed into work and grabbing their WD-40 at lunch. My radio had a few more issue than the volume going up and down but it changes songs and everything. I'll lyk what's up. I'm sure it won't work for everyone but it is what it is, and it is very annoying. It's like Nissan didn't even check to see if the radios were working correctly.

Ha, you called it an Altima at the beginning, then a Sentra at the end. Radios are basically the same. I have a 2019 Altima and had the dealer fix the exact same issue.
