Lol Civic Type R is still the best FWD in Nurburgring and its faster than Megane Trophy R. The megane lap record is entirely different from the Type R lap record. TYPE R IS STILL THE BEST.

I think you forgot to put the car in sport/race mode, it starts up in neutral. You can’t,t hear the exhaust pop and bang. it’s even more fun driving in the sports/race modes. (Car is way to silent compare to mine, I own one since Saturday.) 😉

As always mate nice review. Glad you have done this one i would be interested in seeing a more in depth review, as this is a car I would seriously consider to replace the fiesta with in a couple years time. From reading other reviews most people complain the ride is to firm and from what I could see in the video it looked ok. Also the other thing I heard is although the base price is cheap once you add options it becomes expensive, I have seen the price of the new focus st and it's very expensive but comes very kitted out much prefer the look of the megane though

chris else If you are coming from the ST, the megane will always be more comfortable as it’s a larger car. I certainly didn’t think the suspension was harsh and it’s certainly liveable day to day!

awesome review mate! glad i asked if they had any there!, totally agree on the interior side of things, it is a HUGE step forwards, but still very much renault, suppose its similar to that of the fiesta, the mk8 interior is millions of miles better than older models, but still very much ford.. not doing me any help here trying to persuade me NOT to buy a meg.. sloppy jonny.

I remember the ride comfort being more than acceptable for a hot hatch. That said, I wasn't driving it on the road so I can't give you a conclusive answer.

if you get one buy it with a manual transmission take good care of it and i doubt something bad will happen, renault sport builds really good cars

Ok review great looking car but for God’s sake please just do your own style this obsession with the internet with manual and heel and toe is so boring let me tell you manual cars are not a new concept I’ve been driving them for 30years but on whole your a decent guy and I will tune in again 👍🏼

Graham Cardwell Thanks for your comments but my preference of transmission is a very separate thing from my review style. I like manual transmissions as a personal preference but when reviewing a manual car I’m going to review the manual box, the pedal spacing etc. as that is what a viewer is likely to want to know. In the same vein, when reviewing an auto-car, I’d talk about the auto box, it’s responsiveness etc. Just doing my best to provide a well rounded review in the short space of time I had - I won’t state my personal preference next time 😉
