The 2019 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 226659 features a 42mm 18k white gold case with a black Cerachrom ceramic-capped rotating bezel surrounding a black lacquer dial on a Rolex Oysterflex bracelet with an 18k white gold deployant buckle featuring Rolex Glidelock adjustment. Functions of this 2019 Rolex Yacht Master 42 include 100-meter water resistance, Rolex manufacture caliber 3235 automatic movement, COSC Swiss chronometer and Rolex "Superlative Chronometer" certification, hours, minutes, seconds and date. This Rolex watch also measures 11.8mm in thickness and 50.3mm from lug-to-lug.

Great review! Because KZbin now has recommended videos to the left and right of the screen at the end of the videos can you think about keeping the watch in the center of the frame instead of moving it during lume shots? It makes it hard to get a good idea of the lume. Thanks!

beautiful watch. love to see that rolex keeps working on the YM's. Question: is the dial more matte vs gloss than the usual rolex sport dials?

Good question but the dial is standard black lacquer. I think the matte bezel and strap make the dial look dull… In person it’s negligible. *And the increased dial size plays with the eyes in that the spacing between the indices and lettering is off imho. Dial’s are available in “Falcon’s eye” in a 42mm and “intense black” on the 40mm Everose gold versions. Good eye 👁

Tim!! Is the clasp on the 21mm oysterflex wider than a typical rolex clasp (16ish mm)? I.e., is it more similar to the updated Deepsea that has 22mm bracelet at lug and 17-18mm at clasp?

Don't you think the hour hand isn't proportional to the minute hand? In my opinion they should have used the hands of the GMT master II which *I think* are a bit larger than the submariner's. Please correct me if I'm wrong about it.

I fell in love with this piece but since I saw and tried it in person the hour hand is too big and not proportional with the minute hand. Otherwise its a great piece as always.

Agree with many of the comments- 40mm in steel with steel bracelet is the perfect form of this watch, I would like to see this matt ceramic bezel on the steel watches without the oysterflex.

One of these recently arrived at my local Rolex AD, it’s a handsome watch. Make it in steel and Rolex might have a hit on their hands. Still a tad too large for my taste at 42mm/50mm+ lug to lug though.

A red text YACHTMASTER (and maybe a red second hand) at 40mm will be perfect. Just my thoughts, otherwise it's too similar to a SS black submariner from a distance and untrained eye.
