Yasser Jen and Maurice thank you so much. I’ve really enjoyed the GCT!! Yasser is great at explaining everything in a way that’s comforting and informative. I like the chemistry between all of you ! Next time I visit America I am definitely taking a detour to the capital of chess St. Louis. Really looking forward to the 960 event !!

I saw him but didn't talk to him at an Oregon Open in the early eighties. I also talked briefly at an analysis board with John Donaldson, It made me wish I could move to Seattle and be in the club with them. Yasser is a superstar to me and so valuable. Not sure why "National" would come into that.

What type of time control are they using? I see time being added after the move and the pushing of the plunger....that's an increment...its adding time , not delaying the time running down. Does this "delay" have a special name?

Three people are too many for blitz really. Should be Yasser and Jen doing 90% of commentary and Maurice coming in with some engine details that 10% of time maybe. But as said in blitz this does not work that well.

My favourite players 1. Carlsen..... why? He is just carlsen no more explanation needed the best at classical by far the best at blitz and rapid despite the bad tournament so far 2. Ding liren.... why? Amazing classical chess 2nd best despite of caruana he will surpass him and he is certainly good at rapid and blitz and very humble love his personality 3. MVL second best at blitz and rapid could be the best soon.... if magnus continues how he is playing and is definitely underated in classical and I would say he is the 5th best and could be the 4th best at classical soon overall one of the best players if you consider all chess formats he has very realistic chances of coming 2nd in the grand chess tour if he wins this event and gets 2nd or 3rd in the sinquefield cup he has a very good chance of coming second in the grand chess tour who doesn't love MVL
