How do you like the Coil Over Shock Conversion Kit for the rear? thinking about going the same route. Since skidoo is the only on still hanging on to those torsion springs.. And yeah, nice vid and sled!

Thank you. I put 6" ones on in the video but yesterday I swapped them out for 4" ones. Going to try going shorter for better control and see how I like it.

Hey man I was curious what's the reason for going belt drive instead of leaving it chain drive?

Hi Arnold. The belt drive reduces over 4.5lbs of weight and 3lbs of rotating weight. Chris Burandt just put out a video saying 1lb of rotating weight is equal to 7lbs of stationary weight. Improved throttle response and a snappier feeling. Plus you can change a belt in the backcountry and eliminate changing and buying chaincase oil.

I plan trips for a snowmobile club in lower Michigan. We do backcountry rides and have Summits Backcountrys, and RMKs. Do you know anyone who could backcountry guide us up there. We are always looking for new spots. We have found staying in Big Bay and heading west works out well in the past. We usually do a week in February and a few long weekends as well. Al

why is everyone installing belt drives on their sleds ? you lose power from these no ?

quite the opposite. they are lighter and have less rolling resistance.

justingt3rs I would think the same thing but ask anyone who has made the switch. Lift the track off the ground and spin it. It will spin easier with the belt drive.
