Great video! Did it for the first time yesterday. I found it much easier to access some of the zerks by removing the wheels! Still some cussing but that helped.
@RideTheEarthnow8 ай бұрын
yeah it is easier but if you do it a couple times you get the hang of it with the wheels on, saves you some time.

The 2021 and later 850 Trail and XPs only have the outer rears and the prop. The others are automotive style sealed rubber bushings and wilk be tight long past when these plastic ones need to be replaced.

I did hear that, I think I would prefer being able to grease all my points as opposed to not. Hopefully they hold up well on the new machines.

Thanks for making this video. It was very helpful for me since I have the same model and didn't know about all of these grease fittings. I ordered a grease gun and marine grease right after watching it. Thanks again! If you have time, can you tell me how you removed the stock stickers from your machine? Thanks
@RideTheEarthnow4 жыл бұрын
Awesome glad to hear it helped someone out. The stock stickers.. My fingernail and patience, if you get it started and go slow most came off for me on one peel. A heat gun or hair dryer at low heat also helps loosen things up. Then of there is any residue left use some good gone, thenwipe the area with alcohol to clean it up. 👍

I just got a 2022 polaris sportsman trail and it doesn't have any of these
@RideTheEarthnow2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I heard the new machines don't have grease points. Kinda weird if you ask me, hope they hold up well. I know I have to grease mine a couple times a year or it is nothing.

Thanks for the video man. What part of PA do you ride?

No problem, glad you got something out of it. We mostly ride at AOAA in coal township, and Lost trails in Dunmore. I would like to check out Reading trails too but haven't yet. Are you in the area?

I’m not sure the 2021 850 has as many. I only found 4 on the back. Then again I’m blind as a bat. I can’t find any on the front either.

Ha ha just check the areas where the suspension would pivot. Usually find them there. But 2021 might have changed a bit?

Great video I have the same model. how often should you do it
@RideTheEarthnow3 жыл бұрын
Nice, they are sweet machines. As for when you should do it. I am not really sure. Polaris might have some sort of interval but for me i do it one or 2 times a season depending on how much deep water and or riding I do. Also if you hear any squeakyness in the suspension then it is time for a lube. Hope that helps.

What kind of grease do you use and should I do it every year?
@RideTheEarthnow3 жыл бұрын
I like to use marine grease, holds up better to the elements. As for how often? I usually do it a couple times a year. Really when you hear things starting to squeak, it is time to lube it up.

@RideTheEarthnow3 жыл бұрын
Look at the suspension and at a pivot point there should be one at all the pivot points so you can keep that lubed. I haven't looked at a 2021 570 though. That seems like a weird thing to leave off.

Yeah a couple people have mentioned there aren't any on the newer machines. They must have magical bushings or something. I need to grease mine a couple times a year.
