How do these boats cut thru ruff water in comparison to say a Yamaha 242

Much better because of the weight of the boat. These are very solid. You can go through wakes and rollers and it doesn't feel like the boat is going to split in two. The tower is solid as well, so there isn't any shaking or rattling of the tower and board racks.
