Very nice vid. I have the same problems on my bike as everyone. I designed a sheetmetal bracket to offset the screen down and out of the way, then I bought a deflector for the top of the windscreen. Thanks to your video I may upgrade to one of these. Love to see more of the bike.

Nice screen mate, bet it's nice at speed. I am so envious of your audio quality, especially at speed, mine is great now overall but I have to shout at 50-60+. I still have a lot of wind at those speeds even though my mic is now in my cheek pad, and I'm using the gopro adaptor again to use the wind reduction setting on the gopro.
@TinManvlogger5 жыл бұрын
Thanks man I also have a dead cat cover over my mic and it does a pretty good job of reducing some of the wind noise I use the sena gp10 audio pack on my hero 4 black It makes the camera slightly bigger but for me it’s worth it for good audio

Loved your install video. What is the part number to this windscreen? I’d like to do the same to my bike, which is identical to yours! Thank you

Jeff Fong hi here is an amazon link amzn.to/3k3RnCU Here is a link direct to puig puig.tv/en/tuning-motos/windscreens-for-fairing-bikes/touring-screen?bike=13003 Don’t forget I got an eBay bargain on this screen so be sure to take a look there as well

Smart mate. As you say for touring etc a bigger screen really does seem a necessity

Yeah it does make all the difference on longer trips might even head up to Scotland 🏴 at some point 😊

Hi, Do you use the original bolts or from the Puig?
@TinManvlogger Жыл бұрын
Hey buddy my screen was second hand off eBay It had all the brackets but no bolts so I’m not sure if it even come with any But I used the original ones off the old screen 😊
@MrFragki Жыл бұрын
@@TinManvlogger Thanks for your quick reply. I have installed the windshield 2 days ago and yesterday I have changed the bolts with the original ones. In my opinion the original bolts are better than Puig bolts because the Allen head is bigger and attached better to the gaskets.

Was it easy to get the anti vibration washers out of the old screen. I bought a Givi screen but it didn't have any extra bolts etc.

Nice!! I will order one for my 650XT! Did it affect to much the fuel economy? Being bigger, of course, but any major difference? Thanks in advance! Great video! :D
@TinManvlogger3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t really noticed much change in fuel economy with this screen but it has helped with the wind going over the top my head I still have the screen on and haven’t wanted to change it so it’s keeping me happy 😊

I attached an accessory visor over the stock windshield and I have the problem that when it rains it prevents us from seeing the road, especially at night. This Puig windshield has not given you that problem?
@TinManvlogger3 жыл бұрын
Hey Diego I think you will probably get that issue with any screen you put on the bike if your looking through it whilst riding What I do is I use a glass cleaner first then I buff som3 acf50 on the screen this helps the water bead off as I ride but doesn’t keep it completely clear unfortunately
@diegocadillac573 жыл бұрын
You're very right. That was a big problem when I was caught in a storm in the middle of a highway. I'll follow your advice. Ride safe!

Hi TinMan, How do you find the acceleration and torque of the Vstrom compared to the MT-07? Cheers mate!
@TinManvlogger5 жыл бұрын
I think it’s completely different The MT for me was either on or off it would pick up speed quicker than the Vstrom and it felt more exciting to ride because it was more aggressive with its delivery of power The Vstrom delivers its power in a more civilised manner When you open the throttle it starts and then builds the power up it doesn’t feel quick to me but when you look at the speedo and realise what speed you are doing 😳 you know it’s no slouch The MT is a lot lighter than Vstrom by almost 100 pounds as a wet weight I think if the MT was heavier it wouldn’t be as quick as it is
@stamK.4 жыл бұрын
@@TinManvlogger MT-07: 182kg wet, VStrom 650 : 213kg wet. So the actual difference is around 60 pounds
@TinManvlogger4 жыл бұрын
Stam K. I have a 6 yr old daughter who weighs 4st 2 pounds which is roughly the difference So it’s like having an extra child passenger all the time compared to the MT The engine carry’s the weight well Rides great at higher speeds but I find manually handling it a bit of a ball ache at times I’m still enjoying riding the storm 👍
