I drive this car everyday and I am really happy with what it delivers. It has great power even on ECO mode. Standard mode and Power mode are only when I really need that push to overtake at times.
Toyota cars are some what boring for me because they don't include even the basic tech if not the top variant. Although some tech can be added after market, sometime they become the cause of void warranty.
This Toyota Fortuner is really handsome from the outside but the inside, you be the judge.
Among Terra, Montero, and Fortuner, I find Fortuner to have the best engine responsiveness.

Paddle shifters are not practical. The reason most people buy an automatic car is due to the fact that they do not like manual cars. Its just an added cost to the car.

I rarely use it too, but it makes the car ”feel” more special in my opinion

no i disagree....it has a purpose my friend (paddle or the + - shifter) 1. most likely in automatic only on downhill, you have no engine brakes to assist only brake on pedal. automatic transmission w/o manual mode on downhill tends to shift next higher gear if you will not apply brakes on pedal, while if you have paddle or + - manual shifters you can easily apply engine braking as an assist on downhill position. 2. when you want to prolong torque power or addl speed on a let us say overtake situation, manual mode can be of great help in doing so. 3. manual mode can also great for top speeding. you will get much better result in cars top speed in lesser time.
