Let's take a look back at the amazing Game 7 between the Astros and Nationals!

This game was special for many reasons. This was the very last game of a bygone era in baseball. The last game before the pandemic, the last game before rule changes have altered the game. The last game of the decade. The last game of the miracle Nationals being on top of the world. And it was truly a great game with tons of real talent on both sides. It's not every day you have a world series this good from wire-to-wire.

Not only that Ray, but for me, I'd been thru all the losing and heartbreak since age 7 in the summer of '79 when I started my association as an Expos fan at Three Rivers Stadium (my first MLB game)! So this being accomplished with all four wins on the road against the franchise that had egregiously stained the game made that 40 yr fan wait all the more sweeter! It took a bit for it to officially sink in, but it became my all-time fave moment of any professional sport! I have a ball cap collection that goes back to my senior yr in HS (1990) and my Nats World Championship hat is THE prize of that collection! I continue to wear it with the utmost pride

The Astros used technology to steal signs of opposing teams during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. MLB investigated the allegations and confirmed in January 2020 that the Astros illegally used a camera system to steal signs during the 2017 regular season and postseason, during which they won the World Series.

super late with the reply but in baseball the catcher will sign to the pitcher what type of throw they should do. The hitter is not allowed to know this, or else they have an unfair advantage. The Astros in the year prior had been using cameras and audio cues to tell their hitters what the other teams pitcher was going to throw. In other words, they were cheating, and won a world series by doing so.

They were definitely still cheating in 2019. Some dodger players warned Brian dozier (who was on the dodgers in 2018 and some of the guys became close with him ) about suspicious stuff going on in Houston. Supposedly the nats were smart about there’s signs and had like this weird set up where it made it hard for them to be stolen. Something the dodgers didn’t do in 2017. This are my questions . 1) Wasn't it the easiest game of the entire season against a relatively "inferior" team like the Nationals? . 2) where are those t-shirts and posters with the phrase world champions 2019 that I used to see before the match?. 3) where are the alleged rings of the 2019 world series with the hustons astros shield when they had not even won the series against the nationals? . 4) Wasn't the Nationals supposed to be an inferior team? . 5 ) ¿What about signal theft where it is? Where is this wonderful technical strategy to "beat" your rivals? . In short, you never have to celebrate a victory beforehand, much less when you cheat in such a shameless way as the stars of Hustons . I still don't understand how MLB turned a blind eye to letting them get away with it when in fact they should have stripped them of their "champion title" and kicked them out of baseball respectively.

Hey SVP, I Got Another Bad Beat For You. The Astros Nationals Game 7 Was Going To Be Set At 7 Runs. It Went Over By 1. How About That?
@PGHammer21A4 жыл бұрын
The Ultimate Bad Beat - the home teams went a combined 0-7. (Had never happened in World Series history.) Even though my Nationals won - 0-7 at home the two teams combined; the ROAD team won all seven gamesm

The CLANK heard 'round the planet. I'm wondering if the sound engineer actually turned the volume UP. (I watched the game via streaming live - that clank was LOUD!)

Think about how good this Nationals team was, they had the Astros cheating and Greinke pitched a nearly flawless game with one mistake being a changeup and the Nats blew the game open

Michael Bannister I live in Minnesota, do you want baseball to start when there is 2 feet of snow on the ground and it’s 10 degrees outside?

@@samueldeyle819 - Yes. It's Minnesota's own dumb fault they don't have a roof on their stadium, at least a retractable roof, something...

Right. The offseason is too long. It's the second longest offseason among the major US sports. And yet we have so called "true baseball fans" who think the season should be shortened... There's already not enough MLB as it is.

Astros would have won if they brought Verlander or cole in to pitch the 7th 8th and 9th. Basically a reminiscence of 2014 and bumgarner

The achievement made all the greater considering the Astro's were cheating the whole time. Beat a team that knew what pitches were coming.
