You don’t really need diff lock... you need a bigger quad if you’re in a situation for diff lock... this quad ( if driven hard ) will go through anything... the 700 is even better .... Yamaha is the best

Do you ever feel the need for more power? I'm on the fence 450/700 now that the 450 has the locker. Is the 700 worth the money? I'll use it for hunting and cruising around, no jumping or heavy mudding.

Definitely get the lock diff! My wife weighs about 110 she is only 4'11. She can get it up to 94km on the straight aways. She finds it powerful enough she want bigger tires. I told her she will lose top end but she doesn't care about going 80 or 90. You can put 27in zilla tires on it and it will only be around 26 extra pound compared to the stock. She only get stuck when she is high centered and it still all stock. Im planning on a clutch kit, 1.5 in lift, 27 zilla and snorkel. So loves her kodiak she has tried my grizzly but feels more comfortable with her little 450. I still ride her kodiak some days i love how light and nimble it is. If you are doing nothing crazy its more then enough i can go 83km on it im 80+ pounds to my wife

I love it .a diff lock would be nice, I spend quit a bit of time in really muddy trails But she make it through just fine. Obviously a winch is need for mudding. I weight about 175 and on dirt tails I top out at 55mph. The EPS (electronic power steering) is awesome if you never used watch out you don't flip your self. The botton for the 2-4WD is really convenient. If you over turn the hand bars right it will press your throttle so that something to watch out for if you are in tight trails with sharp turns. I have yet to have water enter the cooling duct for the v-belt. it has a drain if it does happen but you would have to sink it to the gas tank. hitting huge puddles making giant waves a that come over the front could do it as well but yet to have the problem. Over all it has been working great in high humid wet areas. The stock tires are surprisingly good for mudding and I would buy another pair. Probably just get lift kit done to it over time and replace the plastic skid plate with metal.

The trails travel across Southern Ontario Canada passes through tiny towns, qaud to the trails from home in 30 sec. . they are not maintained. All different trails though muddy, tight technical , long open streches, easy beautiful view , and rocky full of hills. lots of fishing, camping and swimmig spots all crown land .
