The 2019 Yamaha YZ250F is a great bike, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few things that can be done to make it a little more customized for a rider’s particular needs. Chase goes over all the mods he makes to this new YZ250F. Get all your bike build parts at www.rockymountainatvmc.com. Get Ready

Clean 🧼 bike. Love these bike builds so I know what to buy next. I really like the tip about the pipe. I have a full 4.1 rct and I lost bottom end torque when I installed the whole pipe but now I’m going to try this tip on mine.

These bike build videos have been a blast to watch - and I've always been super interested in riding one of them when complete. I'm hoping to tag along at some point and actually get the chance to ride this one! Great job guys, the bike looks amazing!

*Forrest Films* the clamps from Ride Engineering are sweet. Gives you that peace of mind that if a tip over happens, your bar mounts will stay straight and not tweak. Thanks for watching. Good luck on your racing season this year!

I think it would be cool to have lap times from a stock bike to the built bike to see what parts made a difference on the track
@rmatvmc
@rmatvmc 5 жыл бұрын
I think that could really depend on the track. On this track (comp edge) the extra power from the map and pipe definitely made life easier. This track has several jumps that are right out of corners or step up jumps that at my weight (190lbs geared up), on a 250, take every horse the bike has. But I think that would be a really cool comparison. Good idea for the future! Thanks for watching and commenting-Chase

Those forks are so good for a wide range of rider weights and abilities. I would save the money on a re-valve and spend it on something else. I am a 200lb intermediate and the forks are awesome stock. Cool Video! I like the graphics.

I've had this bike for almost a year now and I think that the clutch side of the bars is a bit cramped with the ASV lever, Kill Switch, Map Switch, and Hand Guard clamp. Do the Flexx Bars give you a little bit more room Chase? Can you do a video on the bars with your 2019 Yz250f?
@rmatvmc
@rmatvmc 5 жыл бұрын
If you feel cramped, check out the kill/start switch from Ride Engineering. It uses your clutch or brake perch for a mounting spot. www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/ride-engineering-billet-engine-kill-start-switch-p

Yes, two springs rates should make a noticeable difference. But remember, spring rates and valving all work together so if you need to go up two full spring rates, then you'll probably want/need a re-valve as well.-Chase

@chasetherippa 5 жыл бұрын
If the suspension feels good and you don't have any complaints, I wouldn't really worry about it, especially if you two are about the same riding level. Biggest worry I would have is the spring rates. Definitely want to make sure you have the right fork and shock springs on there.
@chrisdobbo8938
@chrisdobbo8938 5 жыл бұрын
@@chasetherippa it's completely stock springs all round as far as I'm aware. And I've set my sag and it falls at 103mm with gear on and something like 34inches, which i believe is pretty spot on. I've only ridden once since I set all the clickers to stock, but I did bottom out my forks on a jump so I'm going to bump the compression up a little. Felt miles better than my first ride, I was almost being chucked over the bars it was that rough!
@chasetherippa
@chasetherippa 5 жыл бұрын
@@chrisdobbo8938 If your forks feel good and you're still bottoming, another great way to help with that is adding fork oil. I'd add 25cc of oil at a time until you don't bottom when you don't want or expect to. I don't consider myself an expert, but i've worked with a lot of really good suspension techs on my bikes and this is what they always tell me.
