It was just a little flat because he was coming in from 5th and using the second valve to play the C

I'm a sophomore and switched to the bass trombone a few weeks ago and im not that good I was wondering how I could work on tone and ways to tongue faster

a lot more air, and heavier tonging for low notes

@@zacha7856 in my experience, you actually need to lighten up the tongue for low range tonguing because the air is already moving so slowly, you don't need to slow it down even more with a heavy tongue. I use a Th articulation for notes below about a G at the bottom of the staff. But yeah more air.

That's just how trombones be. But his tuning is quite good.
